To whom it may concern,
I am voting for Kevin and anybody that works with me can read my name and knows me. Our Union is in disarray and are very lackadaisical as far as some of the pros and cons to this contract they negotiated for us. It is time for new blood and time to clean house, we need fighters and representation that wont speak to us in a condescending or accusing manner when we are in need of their help. I work for a 24 hour company thus need 24 hr. representation, dont need to speak to an answering machine I get enough calling my bank. Hate it or love it we are stuck with a contract that was pushed by our union to help keep our jobs and solve the problem of attendance yet we are losing many hard working men everyday and many more are on the borderline so why dont you ask that? What happened to the wonderful answer to attendance with this point system? We are at the mercy of a call-in line that is not always functioning so theirs a loophole to this system use it and help our guys keep their jobs, have COMPASSION.
I am extremely excited to actually read in the Sun about our crooked Union and their dirty tactics. You hit the nail on the head on this one. I have seen many men lose their jobs due to lack of representation and refusal of taking grievances to arbitration. Our business agents telling us how if they were management they would also fire us and how our mistreatment is self inflicted. I have actually told my B.A. that he is useless and I will handle my own problems and continue to let him get overpaid to side with our company and sell us out. One thing you forgot to mention was how our business agents have to take a potential grievance to their legal council and are constantly advised to just let it go and not try to get that man's job back, what we want to know is who is this legal council and why dont we ever sit at this meeting? hmmmmmm.Nevertheless thank you for letting the public know our battle with 631 it is sort of a vindication for me.
