Don't think he's disappointed at all, Lenny. I'll try to ask him Thursday night...

Gray, you are in luck. Tark's next piece will deal with that subject. Enjoy
newyork, Ron K has nothing to do with this column, but I will pass along your sentiments.
You bring up many good points about the NCAA. I just perused some of those volumes of documents last night, if you can believe that! One big ruling was the US Supreme Court ruling, in a 5-4 decision, that, being a private organization, the NCAA does not have to follow "due process."
Ahh, but all that is a tangle, right? What a mess. What we don't want to do here is delve into that tangled web. It's too taxing and time-consuming. And, frankly, we will have more fun in this arena keeping it light and breezy with Tark. No sense, really, bringing up that junk. Plus, it only riles coach. And if you bring up one topic, it leads to another, which leads to another ... a mess, right?
So when we started this, we both agreed that it will go much smoother if we just keep this topical, funny and insightful in other areas. The NCAA, we both agreed, will be the lone topic off the board. Just makes coach mad.
Hope that's understandable.
thanks

Mee, with coach you never know what's coming up or what he's thinking. He has some pretty regular surprises here, eh? Gotta love how he will say what's on his mind.

Yeah, Camron. ML might have given the entire squad constant headaches with his shenanigans. No wonder it's running a whole lot smoother this season. Kendall figured he's run 150 to 200 suicides in his career here, and he's only a sophomore! That tells you that someone (whose initials I might have already written) goofed up regularly last season.

Thanks Glory. Keep checking us out for fresh updates, features and game-day previews and post-game wraps.
They're coming at a furious pace for the next eight days. Enjoy

Ha ha ha ha, I'm here for you, phurn! I thought you'd like that. He did. Although he likes his nickname on his jersey ... funny stuff

Yeah, Bleed, Lew Hill just kind of gave me a knowing glace after the game. Ain't seen nothin' yet, he says. I think it would be wise to reserve any and all judgment until after the UTEP game. There should be some big victories in the next week, and UTEP will be the next big test,,, on the road.
As for suffrin or whatever he wants to write as, the long arm of permanent banishment will always find him.
thanks for the notes.
You are right, too, Fast ... all new squads need time to gel. It's why Kruger's squads most often play better in March than January, and better in January than November ... etc etc

A bit early for such prognostications, eh rebfan? When they have 25 wins and are in the NCAAs, you'll be rooting like heck for them, right?
Roth, probably a lot of people were expecting a lot of things out of the gate. But, remember, it's early. There's a big stretch of games in a short time coming up, so the learning curve will rise dramatically. Willis has not been disappointing. At all. That kid is a pro. His attitude is great. And he boosts the team. He'll take chances, but many will work out. Beas is coming along slowly. The only person that matters in his world is Kruger, and Kruger is happy with the progress Beas is making. It might not be as fast as some think, who rely on five-star or 10-star or 50-star bs rankings. That means squat. It won't be overnight with Beas. Kruger never said it would be. Was it with Lou Amundson or Joel Anthony? No. In two or three years, Beas will be exceptional.
People panic way, WAY too easily.
Look at Utah. Those fans have reason to panic.

Yep, 'bout time, eh yd? Like the old theme song from when CBS aired Friday night NBA games ... "We'll see how the ball's gonna bounce today..."

Hey, it was an exhibition, a warm-up for all of us, right? Even for the calculators. Point is, Kansas, K-State and UNLV were all about equal against a tough Washburn sqaud with a tough coach. It will be interesting to check on them in a couple of months in the D-II ranks. Those games were invaluable to the Ichabods. D-II national champs? Just sayin' ... good thing the real deal is right around the corner for the Rebels, right?
