Locally owned and independent for more than 50 years.
As a former cop, I must say that the screening for sadistic and brutal cops is not good enough to keep these weapons from being misused.
They could learn to talk people down and recognize mental illness without killing people. They shoot first.
We have all seen the video of the poor mentally ill man in Canada that was killed by tasers. The little girl I believe in FL that got tasered for God's sake.
This problem will get worse because of the sickening ignorance of mental health in the USA and the fact that we put mentally ill people in jail instead of a hospital.
Cops need training in alternative methods of Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior, like we have to be certified in to work in mental health.
They need to be screened for aggressive tendencies themselves more closely.
