I remember at the the beginning of the season how all of the delusional Rebel fans were saying how this year was supposed to be so great and all. Now Kruger has UNLV in the pathetic NIT. As long as Kruger is coaching UNLV they are not going to be that good. Kruger is a mediocre coach that tends to peak in the middle of his coaching stops and then goes on a downward slide. Kruger has done this throughout his career at every school he has been at. His stop at UNLV is the same. He peaked two years ago and has been on a downward slide ever since.
Let's just hope that once this season is over that Kruger packs his bags and leaves UNLV.

This is one of the most overrated UNLV teams in years. Why can't Kruger coach these guys on how to break down a zone defense? I love the Rebels, but this team is destined for the NIT. Nice job Kruger.

USD could'nt even play their first string players due to suspension, yet Kruger's team still almost lost. Way to go. Kruger was outcoached once again. Luck does not last forever and i'm sad to say but Krugers might have run out.

Their opponent was a Division 2 school. A good team should have no problem with a D2 school no matter where they are playing. Let the excuses start coming for the mediocre season that is surely inevitable.

Hello NIT.

This UNLV team is going to the Final Four this year. Washburn is a powerhouse and Kruger's team showed them whats up.

Actually I am not Rebelrobert. Do not assume that all UNLV fans are pleased with a coach who has a 59% career win percentage and who lucks his way into the NCAA tournament. I do not buy into the hype. There will be dissapointment in the rebel community when all of the preseason hype doesnt come to fruition. Luck does not last forever and Krugers will run out, and he will have UNLV back in the NIT in no time at all. I am not happy at all saying that, but it is what I believe and hopefully I will be proven wrong, but I doubt it.

In a few months there is going to be a different attitude from all of the naive UNLV fans. I am sorry to say it but Krugers luck cannot last forever and he will return UNLV to his mediocre ways with his 59% career win percentage. Thats right fans, 59% career win percentage. Pretty impressive, huh. I just want UNLV to be a winner on the national scale and I dont think Kruger has what it takes to get UNLV there.

Wink is the only player that has proven he is any good on this team. The rest of the team is average or completely unknown. I dont know why some fans are so high on this team. The Lousville game in December will really put things in perspective, if not a couple games before that.

I am happy that Kruger lucked his way into the tournament the past two seasons. But you can you honestly say that if Kevin Kruger didnt transfer here for one year and if Wink's fluke shot didnt fall against TCU that Kruger would have had UNLV playing in the NCAA tournament? Kruger just of easily could of had UNLV playing in the NIT and then all of the naive UNLV fans wouldn't be singing such a happy tune right now. The fact is that good solid coaches do not need to luck their way into playing in NCAA tournament, and Kruger is not a good solid coach. By the way what was Krugers career win percentage when he was hired at UNLV? Why dont you also look up Krugers win-lose record against top 75 rpi teams as well. The results are surprising. Krugers luck cannot last forever and he will be exposed.
