Let's just say that this is sending chills down my spine... I spent most of my young adulthood with all of these people. Angelique was my tattoo artist, I have two rather large tattoos that were done by her back when my boyfriend was apprenticing at that particular shop. I remember her boyfriend Billy and when they got married, everyone thought it was a bad idea. We all thought he was a little wacky but I never knew he was THIS wacky. I remember when he was talking about purchasing a shotgun. This must have been 4 or so years ago now.
Now the other eerie part is that I was friends with Cane, known years ago as Spooky John... He worked at a place I frequented as a teenager. I knew his wife, his friends. I remember when his first son was born.
Icing on the cake, I used to live two buildings down from her in that exact apartment complex with two room mates. I'd been in Angeliques apartment...
I haven't spoken to any of these people in a few years because life just got too busy and when you grow up, you drift in other directions. Hindsight I could have never fathomed something like this would happen, especially so horrible.
Things like this belong in fiction, not close to home.
I think the death sentence would be too easy a get out for Billy. I want him to rot in prison for all of eternity forced to think about what he's done.
