The definition of paranoia outlined in this article is inaccurate and distorted. A more general definition of paranoia would be "To be aware of possible or probable outcomes." Many people that are affected with paranoia are simply calculating possibilities that some others may not be aware of. Also, some people who experience paranoia are more aware of the interactions transpiring around them, this is to say that they have more data available to perform mental manipulations and permutations with. Though paranoia can be associated with fear or anxiety, this in my opinion is not what defines it.
