first of all, i am a pharmacist from NY, the reason i am reading this article is i am coming to las vegas shortly and want to see what is going on in town. . it is just a quirk that i saw this article
the follwoing is my own opinion. i do not know this case, i am not licensed in nevada. i do not know nevada law. i am only giving a retail pharmacists perspective.
i have been confronted with this type of issue a few times. i have had to call authorities and proper licensing boards. it is not fun. it is very disheartening when i have to say, "i can not dispense this since it can harm you and put my license in jeopardy" of course before going down that road, you must investigate, use discretion, have documentation, good reason etc.
this should prove to the public why pharmacists and pharmacies exist. we are a second set of eyes,ears and mouths. i will leave it at that and get off my soapbox...
