I mean DID NOT try to force me to vote..... Sorry
I work for Harrahs and did not vote til today. I can say that my supervisor or anybody else tried to force me to vote. The only things I saw were fliers around the building offering rides to early voting. Trust me, I am not someone who supports most of their policies. The accusation that they tried to influence any votes is hilarious.
That's funny. The one coming soon on Pecos and Owens has been sitting empty for a couple of years now.
GHM.... I noticed when the alerts were going on it was on every channel I flipped to, including on demand and on shows recorded on the DVR. I also noticed when I paused a show the alert would still play and then when the alert was done I could unpause the show and pick right up without missing the audio.
For all you people who cry about Ralstons bias, he's a columnist for Christs sake. There is a reason his column appears in the op-ed section of the paper. It's where people write there opinions. Unless you can show me that he is making up facts then I'm with you. Otherwise he's paid to voice his opinion. I'll bet all of you people regularly read Sherm's, Vin's and Thomas Mitchell's columns and think to yourselves, " Wow those people are really unbiased".
While I would support any legalization efforts I believe that these busts were against all the CA style "dispensaries" that have opened up out here. These are not legal in NV. That was the biggest problem with the medical law, it allows the legal use but no legal way to acquire it.
I agree with you. I love Phoenix. It has a definite old school feel to it.
I had the opportunity to get hot passes for the weekend and was amazed at the controlled chaos of that tight garage. I really needed to keep my eyes out to stay out of the way of the people in uniform.
I camped out at the track this year for the first time in over 20 years. Had a blast. Definitely a different feeling than going to a hotel room every night after the race.
They had a tram system that was great, plenty of port o potties, and even free showers.
LVMS could learn a thing or two from PIR on this aspect. But I don't expect them to put in a tent camping area anytime soon.
I'm a long time employee at Harrahs. As far as I'm concerned this story and others in recent months have been a demonstration of their business practices coming out in public.
The people that run this company have no idea what the word ethics mean. They are some of the most arrogant people that I have ever dealt with. They don't believe that the rules apply to them.
About the time that the company started stressing customer service is about the same time that they started taking away tools that we need to do our job.
But really is this any different from most of the properties on the strip?

This is politics pure and simple. Some people want to paint the firefighters with a broad stroke for the criminal acts of a few.
I never had a problem with them doing this on the clock as most likely they would have not been doing anything else at the time. As long as they took care of business and response times aren't affected, what's the problem?
If we want a fully staffed dept that shows up within a few minutes of calling we will always have firefighters with down time.
Now for all you people like Sisolak who were SHOCKED that they were on duty, do you think the firefighters in uniform with an engine on the corner were just borrowing the engine for visual sake while off duty? Now that would be an abuse of county resources.
