What is known so far is that Bogden was involved in public corruption prosecutions and investigations.
The politics and personal priorities within the DOJ is very likely the cause. Public Corruption is VERY high on the list of DOJ priorities and Nevada is a place that Washington officials on both sides of the aisle have little use or respect for.
Its unlikely that Bush had any reason to not want to do a number on corruption in Nevada.
Now, lets see how Greg Brower holds up to the momentum that is building against public corruption. Being a local boy with close ties to parties in the Nevada justice system, he will be monitored closely. They need to march all the way through the Nevada justice system and take no prisoners.

Considering the medicare connection for the feds it could be interesting (since they are watching all this very closely).
They'd like to nail Gibbons and a few other officials here in Nevada anyway...
But for the board to just hand him the opportunity to appoint 'overseers' given the scope of all this and other problems related to elected officials',the board's move to have Gibbons make the appointments is ridiculous.
The governor should move to step aside as well and allow for an outside entity to make the appointments.
Its isnt the doctors that are the real problem folks... Nevada's elected have failed the residents of Nevada; ineptitude in every direction, democrat and republican alike.
Although the local media has resisted truly laying things out on the table, Nevada regulatory agencies such as the Clark County Building whatever and the Medical Board is a cookie cutter version of the Committee on Judicial Discipline.
The general public needs to understand the significance of what that means as I am sure you do (whether the media has grasped it or not); but if things are wrong in the justice system itself, they are definately going to be wrong in a case like this.
The courts and their relationship to special interests are the backbone that enables corruption to perpetuate all the way up to the supremes.
The attorney general runs interference for the supremes, the 'boards and committees run interference for the lower levels; and hopefully the general public will be frustrated enough to throw in the towel before someone figures out that this type of public corruption may be of interest to the feds long before something like this medical problem blows up.
Corruption in the Nevada justice system on behalf of special interests (the head of the snake) makes it all possible; not just the judges, but the attorney general and state regulatory agencies are all on the same page.
Ask anyone in Washington (except a representative from Nevada)
The medicare connection may be the best thing that has come out of this shuffle because it opens the door for the feds to peek into everything that up until now was sovereign.

The Supreme Court has been staying more toward the side of 'the little guy' because they know that anything that smacks of a conflict of interest or corruption or business as usual would not be wise while numerous corruption investigations have been on going for years.
Some of the Supremes are on the radar for past deeds as is many throughout the entire justice system.
