BEING A SISTER TO ONE OF THE IRON WORKERS WHO CHOSE TO MOVE TO VEGAS AND WORK ON THE CENTER CITY PROJECT TO PROVIDE FOR HIS FAMILY,I HONESTLY PRAY THAT SOMETHING BE DONE ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THE SITES. I WORRY ABOUT HIM ON A DAILY BASIS,I LIVE IN TEXAS.I CHECK THE NEWS SITES EVERYDAY ,SOMETIMES 2-3 A DAY JUS TO SEE IF THERE HAS BEEN ANOTHER UNFORTUNATE ACCIDENT.
IT SEEMS THAT THE UNION AND OSHA AS WELL AS THE WORKERS NEED TO ALL TAKE SOME REPONSIBILTY FOR THE SAFTEY ISSUES ON THE JOBSITE. MY BROTHER TELLS ME ALOT OF TIMES HOW CARELESS SOME OF THE WORKES GET. THEY GET SO COMFORTABLE WITH THE JOB THAT THEY DONT FOCUS,THYE MAY HAVE OTHER THINGS ON THEIR MINDS.
I PRAY FOR ALL THE WORKERS AND THEIR FAMILIES ON A DAILY BASIS,IT DRIVES ME TO LENGHTS OF DISPAIR WHEN I HEAR OF ANOTHER LOSS OF LIFE. I CANT SAY THAT I KNOW HOW THE FAMILIES THAT HAVE LOST LOVE ONES FEEL AND HONESTLY I HAVE TO SAY THAT I PRAY THAT I NEVER HAVE TOO.
JUST READING THIS STORY UPSETS ME TO REALIZE THAT NOBODY REALLY WANTS TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE THINGS THAT ARE HAPPENING!! I HOPE IT HETS BETTER FOR THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO ARE PUTTING THEIR LIVES ON THE LINE TO BOOST THE ECONOMY IN VEGAS.
ALSO I FEEL THAT THE OWNERS OF THE CASINOS AND HOTELS THAT ARE GOING UP SHOULD BE MORE INVOLVED WITH THE SAFETY OF THE SITES. I WOULDNT WANT TO OWN A BUSINESS THAT WAS BUILT ON BLOOD. TO ALL OF THE WORKERS MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU!!!!
