Talk about lazy recruiting. Looks like Kruger simply decided to forego any serious efforts to land a highly touted big man in the class of 2010 and settled on this project. We already have three projects down low. Maybe Lopez wows everyone the next couple years, but I'll believe it when I see it.
Amen ro, It still depresses me just to think of that '91 title game. I'm not sure I'll ever really get over it. At least we got beat by a class act in Coach K.
Thank you, Coach Kruger, for finally bringing the program back to where us long suffering Rebel fans always believed it should be! The team is loaded for the next 3-4 years, we're finally getting noticed (and chosen) by the big time recruits, and, most importantly, Kruger refuses to let a player's talent excuse his lack of character.
This seems like a no-lose situation. I'd prefer to see the last ride go to a shot blocking center, but Rudd has such a huge upside. Shopping around for the 'perfect fit' would be a nice luxury, but after watching the Rebs this year it's obvious that Rudd's athleticism would be a huge asset in the years to come.
Withey would be a great get. Nice offensive game and tons of potential, but he's soft. And I'm not crazy about the package deal with his mother. Time to cut the cord, dude.
I'll never forget that night against Utah St. I was thirteen, and my older brother and I taped all the games that season (on an old Betamax!). We must have replayed the tape fifty times. We reveled, as many others did back then, in the team's bad reputation. But we also knew, even at that young age, that it was undeserved. Those truly were the good ol' days. We love ya Tark.
Rob,
I hope you'll give us updates on Jasper and Stanback throughout the year. It's EARLY, I know, but like many fans, I've been underwhelmed by the play of Willis and Hamga thus far. No doubt the offseason hype contributed to this situation -- so let's get some spin-free analysis of how our incoming transfers are progressing this time around.
Keep up the terrific work!
Hey Rob,
Just saw that JHawk and AM inked and Lopez's letter is on the way. Do you foresee a redshirt for Carlos or Justin next season (assuming nobody transfers)? We'll be loaded at the 2 and in the frontcourt next year. Hard to see where the minutes would come from.
I don't care if this team wins ugly. Just as long as they win. Thanks for the in-game updates for those of us who couldn't make it out Rob. So should we still expect Tre to get the starting nod at PG in the opener?

Whoopee, another power conference reject to go along with our UCLA, Kentucky, and Memphis rejects. Hey everyone, come to the T&M and root for our rejects!
Look, they all may turn out to be great Rebels, but c'mon, if you're counting on a squad full of transfers to play harmonious, injury free ball then you're certainly not playing the percentages.
