I would like a statement from the company that wouldn't move to Nevada because of legal prostitution.
Does the news still investigate? Don't give Harry anymore publicity (which is all this is) until we find out first hand what the issue was and how often this comes up.
Was that really the only reason they decided not to move their business here? Or were other reasons 98% of their decision.
agreed with the last couple comments. There's gotta be more to the story here.
This story is turning out to be a crusade to punish the teacher but has barely mentioned what's happening to the geniuses that brought the gun to school in the first place.
Charge them as adults so it's on their permanent record and will prevent them from obtaining a firearm in the future. If they're dumb enough to bring a gun to school now...I really don't want them to have a gun when they grow up in the real world.
Fire them all and start over. Pay the people that want to work.
Do the firefighters in Wisconsin have an $80k base salary with the potential for a $140k bonus like Las Vegas?
Pushing a moral agenda on people disguised as helping NV gain new buisness.
The only way to get him out is to put someone up against him during the next election. He's still a nevada senator because of our lack of options.
Of the 40 people that commented on this story I bet less than 1/2 actually voted in the last election.
If KillerB's comments were taken seriously there wouldn't be a price high enough for someone to become a teacher. I'd like to know if KillerB has children in the public school system and if he thinks any age citizen should be allowed to carry a gun into his child's classroom.
I want to know the reason she didn't report the gun. I'm not going to believe the statements from the 2 kids in possession of the gun. If they know she saw it did they threaten her if she told?
If she's being honest and only suspected the gun in their possession what happens if she reports it and the kids didn't bring it that day. If these kids are crazy enough to bring a loaded gun to school do you think they would have the common sense not to retaliate on a teacher that "snitched".
I'd like to hear more on the teachers statements before passing judgment.
If they raise taxes does the service provided get better? I like the comment by wtplv (Michael Casler).
Do some reading on the internet regarding the businesses starting return to profitability and in a lot of cases it's due to a reduction in workforce.
Also take a look at "prevailing wages". If they're going to cut pay for parts of our state gov then lets adjust the pay to amounts for gov workers.
The salary for a masters educated teacher should not fall below someone that pushes a broom.
Criminals rarely go through the proper channels to get a gun. Making It harder to get a gun legally only makes it harder for law abiding citizens.
"DREAM Act, which gives young, undocumented immigrants who are military enlistees or college students a shot at citizenship"
If you are an undocumented immigrant, doesn't that make you an illegal alien? Severing in the military is a great way to obtain citizenship. Even if they're going to college on their own dime (not with state or fed help).
The military and college bound people aren't the trouble makers. Just don't let this become a loop hole in the system for illegals to gain citizenship after 1 day in college.
