I think there would be 40+ less comments on this article if The Sun could find a way to limit usernames by IP Address.

Ah, once again, more room in the wagon. 4 loses and we see who the fair weather fans are.

That was a strange game to watch live. The refs, whether right or wrong, and the media, with their badly timed media time outs, really set a slow pace to the game. It gave the oafs of Utah plenty of time to rest, cut the crowd off every time it could have helped and prevented the Rebs from getting into any sort of a rhythm. Plus, Utah obviously played fairly well.

Games like this will happen periodically. UNLV improved a lot in every area except 3 points. All of us real fans just need to hope we don't let this cause a slide on our upcoming road games. I don't think it will, these guys have responded pretty well to loses thus far. Go Rebs.

Finally, a little more breathing room in the bandwagon. I hope it didn't hurt too bad when you fair weather fans fell out. We'll need you again later.

Only 2 losses and to big name schools at conference time? I'll take it! Our team is well coached and stacked with competitors... we'll respond well.

Thank you for the informative article Mr. Finley.

164th, K-State's defense and shooting were great. Congrats on the win.

However, I think you should reserve the small conference talk until your school wins a national championship in any major sport. I believe K-State had about a 50 year head start on UNLV too. You should not be the one to talk about ending up in the bottom third of the Big 12.

NBA Jam.... On Fire!!!!

Seriously, that 3 point shooting last night was ridonkulous. Congrats to K-State. Buts this is about all I got from that game... UNLV can't beat a team that can't miss. All this about UNLV playing bad D and turnovers is nonsense. UNLV, as most college teams would, got flustered. Hard not to when the opponent's basket is 6 feet wide.

Btw, thats not being a sore loser. K-State definitely deserved that win but I'm sure even they will agree that they could have beat anyone in the country shooting like they did in Vegas.

I was there and, in my opinion, the court was not "stormed." Half the students from the student section walked down to the court to celebrate with the team. Seriously, people need to drop that. Especially, L'ville fans.

And, L'ville looked really good and played hard the entire game. UNLV just looked better. L'ville should be a top 25 team... and so should the Rebels.

What many posters seem to forget is that it is a buyers market right now. This is the perfect time for UNLV to be spending money. The university should be vigorously scrounging up money to secure the excellent faculty it has now and hire new faculty that will increase the university's academics and prestige.

This same outlook should be applied to building at the university. Construction costs are low and there is plenty of relatively inexpensive, experienced labor around the valley right now. Raise the money and build new dormitories (and make a mandatory 1 year stay on campus for all freshman), build a new stadium stadium on campus, etc.

This would be the perfect time for someone with vision to take UNLV to the next level.

What, has the BYU-Journal dba Review-Journal reduced itself to using ringers? Doesn't get enough readers for its monthly UNLV articles?

"why is everyone jumpin on dudes case for posting a relevant quote?"- Because its a competing publication! Seriously, why do you have to ask that?

Patterson seems like a classy (old school) type guy. I don't see him humiliating an opponent even if it would help slightly in the rankings. That said, 31 points is not "a million" by any means. So, 31 sounds EXACTLY right. I say the bookmakers got this one right and it is an even 50-50 and, therefore, not the bet to stake the ol' homestead on. That my un-biased opinion.

As for contributing to the dialogue, I think everyone is over-estimating how well TCU's pass rush will do against UNLV. So, I think the Rebs put up 17 in the first half. But, passing is all we have. TCU makes fixes at half and no more UNLV points. 37-17, TCU, sounds about right to me. Thats my biased opinion.

Ouch, even my biased opinion isn't that good for UNLV. Sorry Rebs, its not you- its your coach.
