I appreciate articles such as this that let us know there are more than the lesser-of-two-evils democrats & republicans running for office.
Would you some articles like this in regards to the Senate election?
It's a tragedy that another motorcyclist lost his life on these streets. May God comfort the hearts and minds of the victim's loved ones.
Unfortunately I have to side with jaycooke, 3baker45, and lipton and wonder if the bus driver indeed failed to yield to oncoming traffic. On a daily basis I've witnessed bus drivers make very unwise decisions when it comes to making left turns onto Blue Diamond Road.
In my neck of the woods, the posted speed limit for Blue Diamond is 55mph. A few weeks ago I had to stand on my brake pedal to avoid hitting a bus (with kids!) when the driver arbitrarily decided to make a left turn onto Blue Diamond (westward) off of a side street. (I was traveling eastward.)
The shame of it is, there were only 2 cars behind me and very little traffic in the opposite direction. Meaning, if this driver had exercised just a thimble-full's worth of patience, he would have had PLENTY of time to turn on B.D. with little to no traffic.
(side point: I wasn't speeding.)
It's like some bus drivers drive just as recklessly as they do passenger vehicles and forget about all the little lives they're putting in jeopardy.
Good posts, Chediski.
The barking dogs, 10 cars to a home, junk and loud music are things I come across every day from OWNERS in my all-white, gated, HOA-governed community in Mountain's Edge.
To throw that stigma onto "illegals" and "transients" is quite petty and narrow-minded. If you don't like what you see, then move.
Narcissa, what exactly is your definition of "AMERICAN"? Will you submit the same rant during St. Patrick's day celebrations? Or is that considered a perfectly "AMERICAN" holiday to you?
Wow... I'm unemployed, along with over 9% of Nevadans... hope some trumped-up drug charges don't get thrown at all of us...
Count me in, LVIS and CommonMan, Pool Chlor (and soon to be others on the list) just gained another customer.
Whereas I don't support either party, the Republican party's ire over ACORN's activities is merely a case of the pot calling the kettle black.
ACORN may have fraudulently registered voters, but the republican party has been guilty numerous times of fraudulently DISQUALIFYING voters, as uncovered by a study done by the BBC (published by PBS).
