Why not let the students vote? Most of the seniors are over 18 and legally allowed to vote on such issues as same sex marriage, etc. Why not let those younger kids get some experience of studying an issue and standing behind your belief at the ballot box?

RENT shows what can happen to your life should you use illegal drugs or have unprotected sex. We want kids to know the consequences of those actions, right? People don't get AIDS just from being gay.

To the argument that they were upset when GVHS added the second gay play. What would happen if next year they decide to do Smokin' Joes cafe` and then Porgy and Bess? Will the school be sued for pushing a black agenda? What if they do Once On This Island, and then put on South Pacific? Will they be sued over pushing a Pacific Islander agenda?

The veiled discrimintation against the homosexual community shown by these parents is laughable. They talk about wanting to be family friendly, don't gay people have families?!?!?!

To all of these parents that are pushing this gay bashing agenda -Accept the fact that you are a bigot and that you are encouraging your children to do the same.

I would like to have lottery picks too, but to get in those recruiting races the university and coaches would have to be willing to suffer the circumstances. Do you think they want sanctions? The things that are coming out about Calipari at Memphis are further proof that a nonBCS school that recruits over BCS schools is asking for trouble. Tark challenged the system and he got this school a national championship, one of the highest winning percentages in NCAA history, and a lifetime label of being a cheater. (cue the hot tub pic)

Kruger has a winning philosphy for this school. Good kids who are coming here who want to play hard for 3 or 4 years, graduate and make the world a better place in which to live. He is starting to get some more athletic kids and the program will continue to grow, maybe not at a rate that you approve, but you don't matter -in case you didn't know that. I don't matter either for that matter. Kruger may not win a national championship this year, or ever, but the team will always have a chance to go to the post season because they won't be sanctioned and disqualified from post season play from trying to hang with the BCS schools' "recruiting practices".

On a more personal note...

Sufferin' your Ricky Bobby, "If you ain't first, yer last" mentality is not healthy. You do realize that you are a caricature, right? You are a knock-knock joke, a one-liner that everyone and their grandma knows, a sad cliche` of a bitter old monday morning quarterback who's high school team would have won state if coach would have "Just put you in..."

Dropping back to back games at home matters come selection and seeding time, that is not hyperbole.

I am a native Las Vegan, and my family has been in town since the '50s. I am an alumnus and have two others in my family that graduated from UNLV. Needless to say I am a die hard fan, and the only thing I hate more than the band wagon fans that post comments on the RJ articles saying, "Man we should move down to Div II, and 'our teams sucks, I thought we were supposed to be good?" Are the guys that drop cliches on me like, the sky is falling isn't it? Every time I make a very level headed opinion about how I see this teams future, and it just so happens to be contrary to their belief.

These losses give the season a very new sense of urgency; piled on the the already high expectations of this squad makes for a daunting streatch through fresno and that other school up north -hopefully capped off with a win back at home against Boise.

Saying that dropping back to back games at home hurts our post season chances is not lament, it is merely a speculation based on past observation on the (manner) in which the selection commitee makes its picks.

My opinion: Joe found his shot and that looked great, and once Tre and Bellfield get more comfortable in Kruger's offense things will click. Wink is such a great player becuase he moves so well without the ball. He is getting used to a new PG. Once they click he will find his shot.
