Tutus were racy in their day. Things evolve. Looking forward to more from "the new era" of NVBT.
I am looking forward to the renewal of Nevada Ballet Theater. I remember the "old days" of Vassili Sulich, with whom I believe Mr. Canfield has much in common. A smaller, cohesive company, dancing inspired modern works, with a smattering of classical ballet style sounds delightfully refreshing.
Acoustic Strip is a pretty darn fun way to hear a lot of different music. It's also kid-friendly, with pretty decent food to be had...a rare thing indeed.
Boyd Gaming needs another property like a basketball team needs a place kicker. There is too much consolidation in the gaming industry ast it is.

I must say, having an Art Museum is an entirely different kettle of fish than the various galleries in casinos and other venues in Las Vegas. One of the main missions of a museum is education, as opposed to the mission of a commercial gallery, which is to make money.
I grew up in Las Vegas, and was lucky enough to be extensively exposed to art as a child, a rarity here. I would have welcomed being able to visit a real museum, and perhaps partake of some of the programming that museums like LACMA (Los Angeles) and the Nevada Museum of Art (Reno) offer to all people, young and old.
Museums don't neccessarily need to show Jackson Pollocks to be showing worthwhile artwork.
Unfortunately, the point is moot as we have no Art Museum currently here in Las Vegas.
