Some observers have pointed out that Macau's tax on gambling revenue is 40 percent versus Nevada's rate of 6.75 percent. I should have stated more clearly that Wynn Resorts is making more profit in Macau than in Las Vegas, in spite of this difference in tax rates. Macau's lower corporate tax rate might be an added incentive for a company to establish a corporate headquarters there, however.
