I am an admitted Gorman hater from way back. That being said, major props to Gorman for going out and getting these big games on the schedule! I still dont think it is fair for them to battle for the state championship with the public schools, but there is no practical solution for that problem at this time. So, with amazement at myself, i will be all in rooting for Gorman to beat the out of state schools!
What happened, Daniel? Your mother lock you in a closet? Leave you at a fire station?
I personally think 18 is too low, but I am happy we are there. Better to be too low than too high, though, more motivation for the team to keep this run going.
Props to the staff and players for kicking our UNLV pride to a real high!
Without question, the difference from last year to this is confidence as Coach Rice stated. I give complete credit to Rice's system which pretty much takes the thinking out of the equation. The shot is there, you take it. With all due respect to Lon Kruger, last year's half-court offense lacked purpose and flow and that caused the players to think too much. They almost threw it up there just hoping it would go in ... and most of the time it didn't. There will still be bumps in the road, but this is going to be a very enjoyable team to watch!!! Kudos to the entire coaching staff.
The young man is special. His game is the most well-rounded of any Rebel I have seen in a long time. I know it has only been 4 games, but this is no fluke!
We are young. We are inexperienced. We are horrible. So why are we playing like we have something to lose? We really don't. So, open up the game plan, Hauck! Get creative if that is something you are capable of. At least, it might get the kids having fun. Maybe something good will come of it. At least things may be more interesting. God knows we need it.
Pretty sad when your punter is your best player ...
I am sure it is a good idea to be careful with a QB making his first start, but the lack of imagination in the offensive game plan was ridiculous. Same 2 yards and a cloud of dust on 1st down. Even in the short passing game, there can be some creativity to give the kid a chance to succeed. Some quick and safe passes on first down ... Didn't happen. When he got it in the vicinity of the receivers, they dropped it. They were horrible. The offense is a tragedy.
That being said, I have to echo the sentiments of many others. Until we invest in first class facilities that will attract some first-rate recruits, there is absolutely NO CHANCE that Rebel football will be relevant.
Grasping at straws!!! Sad ....
Inspired by Lon Kruger's move this basketball season, please do not allow anyone on this defense to wear a Rebels jersey anymore. In fact, as sad as it sounds ... shut this whole program down. It is an embarrassment to the community!

Anyone else wondering what has happened to Chace Stanback? he made a couple of nice defensive plays at the end. But based on talent and shot-making ability, he should be the "go to" guy when we need a basket in crunchtime, and he has consistently shriveled into the background. He needs to step it up and be there game in and game out if we want to get to the next level. A good game every fourth game will not get it done Chace. Bring it!!! Go Rebels!!!
