yet another case of the public being held hostage to public employee unions. it's corruption via labor contracts plain and simple. the "public servants" are serving themselves at public expense. they are turning all of us into anarchist. will the greed and corruption ever end? not with this government. so much for our leaders.
i think journey got it dead right. kudo's to journey.
the logical solution to this issue is for shelly to run for office in israel. she can serve where she can do the most good and we can be rid of her. suggestions?
the story behind the story is one of the firemen gaming the system for overtime. didn't the average fireman in henderson exceed $100,000 a year by gaming the overtime?

it seems like the NSEA has become a defacto government in the state of nevada. their control of the state budget plus their large cut of the federal spending in the state make them the 800 lb. gorilla in any room. their union has to be the most powerful group in the state and if that isn't enough power then look to see how many serving legislators are either employeed or retired from the education sytem....the tail is wagging the dog.
