Clyde,
I agree that we have problems that we need to fix but the use of those problems as a excuse to turn a blind eye to what is happening over there is wrong.
I would like to point out that guy that started this discussion, Justadude, made the following comment about this subject on a another Sun Article;
"This is a fact that psyhciatric meds need to be monotored, in fact this is seroquel and the dr. who took billy off his "other" meds and dosed him with a mood stabilizer is responsible oh ya im sure kaine ran his mouth too....."
Really? Oh so it not Billy's fault that at 1am in the morning he grabbed a chainsaw and a automatic weapon and DROVE to their house, killed Caine, his unborn child, and almost killed Ainjil. What was I thinking! Cause you know all that kind of sounded like PREMEDITATED murder to me. Thanks for clearing that up.
At the end of the day, Billy made a decision to do what he did. Now Billy may have been a nice guy I don't know but what I do know is that he decided to kill two people and seriously injury another and for that there will be a price to pay. Stop trying to make excuses for his actions. Oh and blaming Caine in anyway for what happened only proves your a gutless scumbag.
Justadude...Are you serious? Its real sad that this guy had it tough and was on meds but HE is not the victim here? Kaine ran his mouth? So what..is that some kind of weak excuse for carving a hole in front door with a chainsaw and killing him and Anjil's unborn child. William Keck was just pissed of that his ex moved on and left him behind. You a scumbag for placing any kind of blame on Kaine.
You know what I am sick of. Idiots. Idiots like Justadude who want to blame everyone and everything else for their problems, their crappy lives, and the bad things that they do. William Keck may have been a nice guy, I don't know, but I what I do know is that he took a chainsaw and a automatic weapon, at 1 am in the morning, drove over to her house and killed her boyfriend (who has a 4 year old son), their unborn baby, and tried to kill her. Lord knows I ain't no rocket scientist but doesn't that sound a little like premeditation?
You can try to pass the buck and place the blame on his meds, his "condition", or anything else for that matter but at the end of the day William made a decision to do what he did and for that he is going to have to pay a price.

Cutting the International Affairs budget makes no sense on so many different levels.
Congressman Rothman, a New Jersey Democrat, wrote in the Congressional Blog called "the Hill" that in "keeping America safe, there is no better value than the one percent of the U.S. budget that is spent on foreign aid and diplomacy". Rep. Rothman also writes "Today, in our more interconnected, just as complex, and equally hostile world, our country would be less secure if we removed our diplomatic presence from the globe". I couldn't agree more. One need only look at Sudan to see how important U.S. foreign aid and diplomacy are.
Terrorist organizations look for potential recruits who live in conditions that make them easy to influence, conditions such and poverty and unrest. From 1992 to 1996 Sudan was just such a place and during that same time frame harbored and supported Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda. On Aug. 7, 1998 al-Qaeda bombed the U.S. embassies in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, killing 258 (12 American) and injuring around 5000.
To make the suggested cuts in H.R. 1, including 50% cut in the International Disaster Assistance account, 36% cut in the Food for Peace program, a 41% cut in the Migration and Refugee Assistance budget, and cuts that threaten important Genocide Prevention funds such as The Complex Crises Fund would not only lead to the death of more innocent foreigners but would undoubtedly threaten the security of Americans.
Rep. Heller and other House Representatives support of the severe reductions in the International Affairs budget runs counter to the United States' commitment to peace in Sudan, emboldens those that commit gross human atrocities such as genocide, and creates potential breeding grounds for anti American terrorist recruits.
It is now in the hands of the Senate and I for one hope they restore the International Affairs budget, which accounts for less then 1% of the entire budget, and go after the accounts that are really sucking this country dry.
