How can you believe anything Harry Reid has to say - He, Obama and the Dems are destroying our country. Facts are facts and SS will be out of money and something has to be done to save it. The Repubs are not planning on taking anything from current 65+ seniors - but they are looking at people that are 50 and under for SS changes.

Reid, Obama and the Dems should be hang their heads in shame about the Unemployment rate in our country.

You are referring to a 2008 government reference material. The facts are SS will run out of money in 2039 as the CBO stated this past week at the Congressional Budget Hearings on Cspan.

New congressional projections show Social Security running permanent annual deficits unless lawmakers act to shore up the massive retirement and disability program.

The Congressional Budget Office said Wednesday that Social Security will pay out $45 billion more in benefits this year than it will collect in payroll taxes, further straining the nation's finances.

The deficits will continue until the Social Security trust funds are eventually drained, in about 2037.
