It appears, the Fertittas have been granted many immunities and entitlements, not accustomed to those without their connections.
Since their release from prison, it's heavily rumored that Faraci and Rizzolo are back in the strip club business along with another Crazy Horse Too convicted felon named Al Rapuano (walking behind Rizzolo in this AmericanMafia.com photo by Mike Christ). Faraci at Eden; Rizzolo and his family at Bada Bing; and Rapuano at Penthouse -- three clubs located in the county, two on land owned by the Fertitta family of Station Casinos fame.
The Fertittas proudly attended Rick Rizzolo's welcome home party on April 4, the day he was released from custody, even though Nevada law prohibits unlimited gaming license holders from associating with ex-felons.
Ted Binion lost his gaming license at the Horseshoe because of his relationship with Herb Blitzstein, and Frank Sinatra lost his gaming license at Cal Neva Lodge because of his relationship with Sam Giancana.
But the same gaming enforcement rules no longer seem to apply to the Fertitta family in this new Las Vegas. This family seems to be immune to scrutiny even though they unabashedly associate with guys who rightfully belong in our state's infamous Black Book of persons excluded from entering casinos.
I hope the casinos lose business over this. Their greed and lack of community involvement are major contributors to our increasingly violent society.
Yes Kaliscanner. Especially when the owners walk away with the bulk of that borrowed money.
For all of you who think gambling is not an addiction but rather as a personal failure of self control, I suggest you rent the movie "GOING FOR BROKE' with Delta Burke. This movie really hits home.
That's funny Wizard. Steve Bottfeld is just another snake oil salesman that got lucky on early predictions but is way off base on his thoughts for the future. I wonder what he is selling today?
History has shown that Stations is following a pattern of deceit in their operations. They put their plan to the test in their takeover of the Pride MMA and then refined it in their quest to take Stations from the creditors after mortgaging the company to the hilt. Read their practice run and tell me this all wasn't planned...
Ameristar, too, has had to cut full-time positions because of the economic downturn. Steinbauer said the company has increased its share of part-time positions from 10 percent to 35 percent to eliminate costs.
And we wonder why so many Americans are without health insurance?
For all you who wish only for eye candy to deal to you, serve you drinks or serve in the restaurants...you are the reason for the lack of service in Las Vegas. It seems most properties have chosen that route as opposed to hiring qualified, competant employees who care about their jobs, as opposed to those looking for that golddigger to release them from the working life. Next time you have some eye candy serving you, don't complain if she doesn't give a 'hoot' about your customer service satisfaction.
I just wonder, cynicalobserver, how you have acquired so much knowledge on the case? I haven't read many of your disclosures in the news. I don't doubt your knowledge. I am just wondering what are your connections on the case?

I believe the gaming companies are using the economy as reason to lower wages and benefits. If they can afford to expand their companies, why then, can they not afford better heath care insurance and a 401K? Screw the employees but executive pay is skyrocketing. No need to wonder why service levels in Las Vegas are disintegrating.
