A former Wendover resident once told me that the locals refer to their town as "Leftover."
A friend of mine graduated from high school in Costa Mesa, California, in 1961. According to her, the ability to swim was a graduation requirement at that time.

Of course you've taken every precaution against being infected by a child or young adult whose parents couldn't afford to pay for vaccinations.

I have a master's degree and I also speak Spanish. Two years ago I applied for a position at a local pharmacy benefits firm. The job offer went to a senior citizen who had dropped out of high school in 1962 and had just obtained a GED. Here in Las Vegas, there truly is no substitute for a good education.
