No matter what, 7.9% is high. But there are still some companies hiring and is some good news out there. There are more companies, like Hilton Hotels, and Alpine Access, hiring employees for work from home jobs in a trend called "home shoring" (which is jobs coming back to USA) even in todays slowing economy. I found this site has some recent articles on the trend as well as opportunities for working from home (such as market research and surveys), as well as ways how to get help to save on bills, like mortgage, utility bills, and others.

Just what is needed with a slowing economy, right? More money for medical bills. However, there are many ways for people to get help and save on medical bills and prescriptions. Consumers need to be sure the medical provider is billing them correctly, they can negotiate down bills (Consumer Reports says 90% success rate), medical advocates can save money, and compare prices. I found this site had some ways that I saved on my medical bills.

For those who need help, I found this site which gave some ways and programs that help save on heating and utility bills. Help is provided both from the gov't and utility companies themselves.

Good , shop and keep the economy going. However, why fight the crowds when the best way to save this holiday is using online comparison shopping sites, & also online discount codes. Retailers have discount codes you key in to save money. This site is a good resource
