Beerbellytex (great handle!) I think the campaign's new "Know The Code" variation addresses the new technology, dissuading tourists from sending tweets and Facebook status updates in any form about their Vegas misadventures.

Dave, he has made some comments unflattering to Las Vegas, which I felt had nothing to do with the quality of his performance. He seemed happy and, yes, well compensated.

I understand how this column could have been confused. I added the note after it was originally posted, just to make it clear. I would not interrupt a show in such a way, not Lewis Black on Saturday or any entertainer on any day. I don't get why people feel the need to act like idiots, but rather than just make that trite point, I wrote from a different perspective -- that of the idiot.

The idea was to satirically write from the point of view of someone who did, in fact, disrupt a live performance by Lewis Black. I was at the show, but I was not actually that person. This was written from the perspective of any idiot who would be motivated, somehow, to interject himself into a stand-up comedy show. It was not me who actually disrupted the show, no.

Vegasjon, thank you for that explanation. The chief point is that valet attendants do have authority to call law enforcement if a driver seems to impaired to drive a vehicle safely.

Prices range from $55 to $250, not including taxes and fees.

The original reference to $6 million was either a typo or wishful thinking. That number is $6 billion and has been corrected.

JBubber, I disagree. It seems like you DO know where to start.

I didn't know which hose they were referring to. So now I know. You are doing the work of God, my friend, and I thank you.

BRASS, I will say that I liked being able to see the entire track at LVMS. At Indy, we had seats just off the start/finish line and could see maybe a third of the track, tops. But on Sunday, we were able to at least watch all of the cars during the entire race. The chief issue, to me, was the inability to process debit or credit cards at the concession and merchandise stations. That's a genuine customer inconvenience that, I would surmise, costs the facility and NASCAR a lot of money in lost revenue.

SaveLasVegas, yes, I was at the race. Note the photo credits from the pictures taken during the race at the track, the ones that say "John Katsilometes." That's me. I eliminated the reference to Aflac, which was not nearly so noticeable as the No. 99 (or, 66, if you were watching the race while standing on your head) on Edwards' car. And BeSafe, I used "supercharged" as a general term synonymous with "highly charged" or even "really fast," and have since swapped "really fast" for "supercharged" as to not confuse the reader. Thanks one and all!
