Caroll, regarding his comments about steroids and plastic surgery: Go back and read the story again. He talks about his appearance, because I asked him about it. So does his father. Scroll to the subhed that says, "Big -- but too big?" and start reading there. And no, he did not pay for this story. That's sort of not how we operate. If I didn't hate the subject to your satisfaction, then I don't know what else to tell you.

Yes, Agassi did talk of the match against Gomez, saying he might have lost even if he'd gone all-out. As it was, he won one set. But he did say he was not moving as fast as he should have and was less interested in winning than he was in saving his hair. Reilly also mentioned that Agassi admits in the book that he tanked against Michael Chang in the 1997 Australian Open.
