Now comes the test. Can they make their grades?
John Ensign is right about the public option. It could have been expressed better. People will adapt to it just as they have with Social Security and Medicare and oppose any change. However, it will be another unfunded entitlement. The only time that can be avoided is now, not in the future.
Brian has developed of reputation as a short timer. He never sticks with a position long enough to prove himself. Perhaps he gets bored easily. A governor has to sign up for the long haul and be an administrator. We'll see!
Obama is in a rush because he fears someone might actually read the bill. Also he knows it will never pass if congress goes home for recess and hears from their constiotiuents.
Well what else would you expect from a Sun poll?
Had Goverrnor Gibbons not stood at the gate, no telling what this legislature would have saddled us with in taxes. While he may not be adored by the tax and spenders, he stuck to his promise of no taxes. As time goes on Nevadans will appreciate his resolve.
You are absolutely right. This is just more mindless Bush bashing. Obama is following the Bush plan and there have always been differing opinions between departments.
Again, Governor Gibbons may be the only adult in Carson City. The kids continue to whine and throw tantrums when told we dont have the money to do that! How many, as parents, have faced the same situation when breaking the bad news to our kids. Jimmy Rogers and Barbie Buckley its time to grow up!
Someone has to be the adult and tell the kids no. Someone has to be the parent and say sorry we just don't have enough money for that. Someone has to ignore the kids temper tantrums and hysterics. Governor Gibbons is becoming more of the parent all the time as Jimmy Rogers and Barbie Buckley bash him for doing the right thing.

Another entitlement program like Social Security and Medicare will bankrupt our children and grandchildren. It will turn this country into another socialist state just like old Europe. Then everyone can remember how it used to be in free enterprise America.
