How is it off road riders are okay for the tortoises, but the solar panels are going to be harmful. Strange reasoning. You can drive over the tortoises and their lairs and that is okay. I know off road riders are important to our environment, not, and I am still wondering how this can be. Of course that is my opinion and I could be wrong.

I don't hear Heidi Harris often, but I am getting the impression she is going the way of Ann Coulter. Maybe she is hoping to join Rush Limbaugh in a nationally syndicated show so the Republicans can have another radio host give a slanted view on many issues. The Republican influence on this town hall seems suspiciously one sided. Of course that is my opinion and I could be wrong.

There is a small museum on Boulder Highway in Henderson and why not expand that one so families and kids could go to a museum like my family went to. It was informative and fun to go to. As far as the mob museum as long as it is being paid for by the Las Vegas taxpayers and not my tax money go for it. Also I believe Henderson is preparing to build a science type facility which would also be good for the families here. Of course that is my opinion and I could be wrong.

I definitely agree. I only will answer mine when I am out if I think it might be important and then rarely. I have voice mail and they can leave a message which when convenient I can listen to without bothering anyone around me. Drivers should get an ear piece or blue tooth so they keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. Also keep the conversation to a minimum.

I went to Yucca on a tour. Looked safe for the most part. I am not an expert by any means as to how safe it actually is. I am an expert on train and truck accidents. Transporting the waste to Yucca is my biggest concern. Every time you see a tanker accident or a train derailment think about that nuclear waste being transported through or near major metropolitan areas. With all the money already spent on Yucca how about making it an amusement park? Of course that is just my opinion and I could be wrong. I also agree with the Sun allowing opinions on all the articles is why I mainly read their newsletters and support them. Unfortunately I finally gave up on the RJ paper for numerous reasons. This may be the way of the future for the Sun.

How does the adage go, to many fingers in the pot spoil the stew. Something like that happened to you. All those medical experts and your own doctor diagnosed over the phone. The sad part is you have to pay all of them for handling it poorly. In my past businesses when I screwed up something on a client I didn't get paid unless I made it right. I really don't think we are going to get reform as long as the Republicans continue to attack the President and refuse to give their ideas on a bill that would work. We need cooperation on Capitol hill not this constant fighting between the parties. Peoples health care is involved and all they do is fight. Of course Palin's "death panel" statement shows a lack of intelligence which doesn't help. Of course that is my opinion and I could be wrong.

I am a regular user of the library and feel the new library will be welcomed by many like myself. The present facility is very small and cramped for space. Obviously the naysayers don't utilize the library. If they did they would know it is very busy. I guess they think only the well to do people in areas like McDonald Ranch or Anthem deserve a spacious library. They have a very nice facility out there. This was a long time coming and I thank the City of Henderson for their looking ahead to the future.

Let South Carolina deal with there governor. We in Nevada have to deal with Senator Ensign's indiscretions. I definitely will not vote for Ensign in the future although I didn't in the past. We have a lot more important issues to deal with in our country. Saddam was a big blow in Iraq and the leaders of North Korea are just as big blows. I agree that we should let China and Russia deal with N. Korea. We have to stop worrying about policing the world and take care of our own.

The best approach to this is a common sense approach. Harry Reid gets re-elected. He is the majority leader and that is very important to the State of Nevada. We need that power in the Senate to protect our interests here. Rory Reid would be a great pick as Governor. He has served us well here in Clark County and has both political savvy and the smarts we need in the Governor's office.

It would seem logical to cut the budget in areas not needed. The problem with this is certain politicians have their own agenda. Obviously their self interests take precedent over common sense. It appears our state politicians are following the path of the politicians in Congress and the White House. Spending money on needless programs and projects.
