As a registered nurse that has worked for years giving conscious sedation to endoscopy patients, I am having a very hard time wrapping my head around the fact that these nurses would be willing to compromise their patients safety for any reason at all. We are the final advocate for our patients and I just can't believe that such gross negligence could occur in the name of greed and cost cutting - I am wondering if these nurses were given bonuses or other compensation if the clinic made a certain amount of money - ANYTIME you throw extra money into the mix - you run the risk of this type of negligence
