Yet not so concerned as to terminate the police officer's employment or demote his rank? Really? If a citizen kicked an officer in the face repeatedly, if a citizen broke an officer's ribs, does the Mayor think for one second that citizen could go on with life as though nothing happened?

And here's the scary part: There would have been no repercussions whatsoever if the incident had not been accidentally caught on an official video recording.

Question: How do you know your campaign for President is doomed?

Answer: When "The Donald" endorses you.

Everyone knows Ron Paul: He's that one "crazy uncle" in every family!

I'm so sick of spoiled, multi-millionaire, professional sports players catching multiple breaks from our judicial system. This is yet another example of wealthy folks buying their own brand of justice. For once, just once, I'd like to see these "adult" 2-year-olds taken to the proverbial woodshed and taught a real lesson in civility.

Welcome to the world of elections financed by super-rich donors willing to pay their way to play. And thank you, Supreme Court, for reversing 100 years of rulings in allowing such a travesty. I fear for the future of our great country...

What a failure of planning!

Residents in this area were told Elkhorn Avenue -- the only other major alternative to the 215 -- would be finished many months ago.

Instead, Elkhorn was never finished and still sits closed at Decatur.

Now the 215 will also closed.

Ridiculous, beyond words. Who's running this circus?

And this is how career criminals are made, step by step, by lenient judges.
This woman already has a prior felony: Why would anyone think she deserves probation?
The story points out that she was a willing participant in the underlying felony that led to the shooting of a police officer.
Probation. Seriously? What message does this send?
We need a tougher judge in this court.

First let me say police officers in this city have very difficult jobs. Las Vegas is home to the last vestige of "the wild, wild west," and I know police officers would like to go home to their families safe and sound at the end of a shift.

That said, there is something horribly wrong at Metro. Killing unarmed citizens, repeatedly, and every one ruled justified? Shooting suspects in the back? Shooting a West Point graduate as he left a Costco (complete with a magically disappearing surveillance video)? Shooting an unarmed man in his own bathroom? Beating a man for lawfully using his video camera? And now refusing even to participate in investigations?

Whether it's the result of poor training, poor hiring, or just that good old "eaten up with power" syndrome, the sad truth is that the poor judgment of a few officers is causing real damage to the entire force.

Something has to change. Quickly. Completely.

A perfect match: Sheldon and Newt, Newt and Sheldon.

It's truly hard to tell which man is more deluded by an overblown sense of self-importance.

Cain violated the ultimate "peter principle"...keep it in your pants.

Worse yet, when caught he blamed everyone else. Good riddance.
