Perhaps Clark County should stop letting the welfare queens in Carson City rob it of it's hard earned money.

Oh it is quite beleivable. What is unbeleivable is the lack of action by the NERC? These NERC clowns are supposed to be investigating and prosecuting these violations and instead they drag their feet and are incapable buffoons.Time for the Justice Department to take over. The state cannot be trusted to investigate in a timely and capable way. That is what the Sun ought to investigate. Why the government does nothing? People have a right to work in a safe environment free from harassment.

This is so stupid. It is like the Las Vegas Monorail. Why would you build a monorail that does not go to the airport? Good luck finding investors. It will be a dog with fleas.

Any idiot politician that supports this should be recalled.Build a high speed rail line that makes sense like they have in most advanced countries of the world already.

Teachers union you should stop playing ball and strike! After that Nevada good luck finding any native speaking teachers.Maybe you can find some in Macau? You already get paid lousy wages while having to shell out big bucks for your education.

Who would have thought teaching would be a terrible career choice? It once was an honorable position.BTW,not advisable to study or teach here. Not a wise move.Teachers should start a petition to recall Sandoval.Remember who did this to you your local Republican Party!

Yeah Boulder City!I thought monopolies went out under the Sherman Act a long time ago.Nevada Energy is horrible.I wish Las Vegas and Clark County would get some brains and do the same and get rid of them, too.

I do not think that City Center will be the catalyst for a turn around in the Vegas economy.
What would be a smart move is to improve the infrastructure like roads and rail so we can attract a more diversified business base.Gambling on one industry to keep the economy going is foolishness.
Improving the quality of life would be a better thing to focus on.Poor schools, horrible healthcare,no real job security and massive corruption remain barriers to attracting the best and the brightest to live here.We are almost dead last in so many categories.
Some day Fidel will be gone and Cuba will reopen for business and when it does Vegas will almost certainly lose it's appeal.
City Center has so far been a deadly boondoggle. The traffic mess is causing a loss of revenue at other businesses, too.I blame the idiot commissioners who signed off on the project obviously to solicit donations.Term limits are a blessing. It is just too sad that it doesn't preclude them for running for other offices and screwing up at the state or federal levels.

I ride trains all the time in Japan and in fact rode the original version shinkansen my last visit with my boys. This version was designed and built for the Tokyo Olympics in the 1960s.It was still was a very nice ride very comfortable, smooth, fast and convenient.
The newer versions are sleek and hella fast. You can rocket from southern Japan to Tokyo in a matter of hours. In Europe the trains are quite good as well.
America is falling behind the rest of the world infrastructure wise and it is time to crank up the R&D. Due to cost, partnerships between companies and government should be established. The government should foster projects and then spin them off or privatise them.

Manufactured?WTF?
Yes,ScottsdaleSun13 "cultivated" is the word they wanted to use.
Sorry, but here in the county education is in a sad state of affairs.

I am from back east and this is definitely like nowhere I have ever been before or will ever go again and I have been around including many countries overseas. It is part of an ongoing problem with underfunded schools and an ambivalent society who are for the most part overly content with their ho hum lifestyles.Sad with all the money that passes through here that the school system should be so blase.

Really sad to see the lack of "can do" spirit that once prevailed in this country and made it great.I quite agree with your points. Why waste time with criminalizing something that should instead be regulated and taxed? I can only imagine that the powers that be must fear a reshuffling of the cards where they come out on the losing end.

By keeping things illegal corruption exists and the payoffs keep rolling into police, judges, politicians and the like.If people wanted real change they should speak up because not speaking up has got them in this mess they are in now.

Things like prostitution and weed are really side shows for nerds and fools.Having grown up in a town where people had serious fortunes I often knew that none of their children were ever going to be in jobs trying to catch prostitutes or arrest drug dealers and the reason why was, because that was considered a fool's errand.Which means like pissing in the wind.

Instead of wasting alot of money on fool's errands it would be money better spent to do a top to bottom revamp of the education system and train your kids for the new future.Make Clark County a place where pot is not frowned upon but hemp is viewed for it's benefits like in housing.Hemp materials make excellent walls that are cheap and energy efficient.

They say that the highest level of thought is thinking outside the box.Humans begin at a repetitive level or copying level than move into an associative level from there they actually begin thinking for themselves and making connections where there are not clear ones. For example a person sees a bees honeycomb than comes up with a geodesic dome idea. This is where we should be pointing our children.

But we are not doing so.......

Hi Ho Hi Ho it's off to work we go.

Now instead of shipping humans over from Africa they got a better racket having them walk themselves to you.Not only is it illegal to use illegal aliens for labor but it is immoral and unethical(you ask what does he mean by that?I mean to treat human beings in a way other than you would treat your own son or daughter.get it now?)Which is even worse in my book.

The Sun newspaper should call them what they are too, illegal aliens.Non natives what kind of nonsense is that.

Immigration authorities ought to get off their butts and get personnel over to Republic and start investigating. They can stop pretending that they didn't know.It is front page newsand the government needs money and there is a nice fat fine sitting right there waiting to be collected.Take some Health officials, too. They can check on the worker conditions where these illegal aliens were working. As an American I do not want to see anyone working in dangerous conditions where they would be injured in anyway.I'm sure they have loved ones too that they would like to return home to someday.
