lvcva should be marketing in CA wherever a casino is located. something like: the real las vegas is in nevada. get the tourists coming back, filling the rooms and casinos.

your observation is astute. many, many machines are empty. i wonder what the correlation is between the number of currently empty machines and the current total number of machines versus, say, 10 years ago when there were far fewer machines and casinos. do you think some of the emptiness reflects over-saturation?

this link is to the book exerpt i mentioned in an early post on rng's versus psuedo-rng's
it is not a true random number generator. it is a psuedo random number generator. a book excerpt i recently read, says that the cards in a standard deck are "listed" to 26-squared. your math will tell you that's a HUGE number. when someone puts money in a video poker machine, the prng picks a place in this liste of millions and millions. thereafter, the cards that come on the deal/draw are those that are consecutive in the list from where the first card was dealt. if you are interested in the article, please email me.
four members of the hampton family. 96,000. 96000/4=24,000 each. twice the $12000 stated.
no one likes or has the Mr. Terrible bobblehead?
another great Kats Report. fascinating retrospective. thx.
red tock casino has a non-smoking area in their casino. judging from the number of people playing in that area, the non-smokers are not utilizing the area. so what does this say about non-smokers?
i am still amazed by the wednesday comment that the only thing of value on the property, the iconic sign, had been removed a few days before the fire. curious?

i wonder if a full out coutry entertainer will draw the kind of clientele that the wynn properties seem to prefer. they certainly want the upscale and don't seem to offer much else to those of us a little lower on the ladder.
