I also read that he was incapable of assisting in his own defense due to the stroke, so how can he know what he did or did not agree to? Seems to me as if this new filing, shows he has more capacity to assist than he says. While you greedy attorneys are helping this criminal, people are still SUFFERING because of what the scumbag did. SHAME on all those helping this lowlife. What the hell is it going to take for the courts to say ENOUGH BS, bring his ass in. I think that everyone should immediately start picketing & stay picketing the courthouse, the prosecutors office, the state offices, until someone finally does something. This criminal belongs in jail.

Well it seems as if the BAD doctor Desai has built himself a sanctuary of people to HIDE behind. SHAME ON YOU LAWYERS HELPING HIM. Perhaps the court should entertain a motion to appoint a legal guardian and institutionalize DeSai so he can get proper care for his symptoms and possibly recover. I would think that if the court put him in the county nursing home, (where poor people go) and get some intense rehab for DeSai, it probably wouldn't take too long for his memory to start coming back. These places are not fun to live in, nor can I recommend their food, but perhaps that is the best way for him to have a speedier recovery. He is living in LUXURY STILL! This is a slap in the face to all those he intentionally damaged. How are the former patients of his living? How are the people ever going to get justice? I can tell you that my Aunt is STILL living in hell from what he did to her.

The good ole fashioned "mary jane" should be legalized, it really is no worse than alcohol which also was illegal at one time. It will dissolve our country's debt in very little time.

Although he isn't convicted, yet anyway, why should our taxpayers pay for a new liver? As a person who works full time with no insurance, nor the possibility of obtaining insurance through work I would be refused a liver transplant due to lack of funding. Why should a criminal get better health care than I? And if that is the case, how crowded will our prisons get for the purpose of obtaining health care and whatever else these people are entitled to that the general working public struggling to survive are not entitled to, simply because we choose to work?

How the HELL can this still be happening? WE ARE TALKING ABOUT PEOPOLE'S LIVES THAT HAVE BEEN RUINED FOREVER BECAUSE OF THIS LOWLIFE SCUMBAG DESAI!!!! If Desai is competent enough to file bankruptcy then he is competent enough to answer the DAMN questions. AND if he can assert & UNDERSTAND his 5th amendment rights, he is competent enough to go to trial. Simple as that. He is making a FOOL out of the court system, police dept, investigaters, medical board, etc., you are ALL looking like idiots. It looks like a better circus than Barnum & Bailey, are there tickets for sale to this fiasco? C'mon courts, prosecutor, DA's office what are you waiting for? If you don't do something, somewhere some vigilante justice seeker might.

Well at least he will have to face his victims now. It's about time they forced him in. He probably understood completely the charges all along and was using his "medical condition" to avoid taking responsibility.
It is ironic that the authorities are pursuing the doctor in Michael Jackson's case so diligently,(with only 1 victim) perhaps they should have done the same with Desai. It's either Manslaughter or Homicide no matter how you look at these Hep C cases these charges should be brought immediately.

Geez Louise, yet another stall tactic.
C'mon already, ANYONE else would have been jailed a long time ago for attempted murder healthy or not!

In response to ME, you stated
"When did an administrative assistant become a professional?"

What gives you the idea that administrative assistants are not professionals? You need to come off of your high horse and realize that just because someone is not at the top of the ladder doesn't mean they are not a professional. Sometimes, it is the person in that administrative assistant position who is really running the company.
I truly hope that Ms. Gray is successful in her job hunting. She shows some really good qualities (persistence & creativeness come to mind) in her searching.

Emperorjoe ditto on your comment. The blacks are voting for Obama because of skin color, so that IS racist. But you don't see white people whining about it being racist. Howard Stern had a great radio show in which he interviewed residents that lived in Harlem to ask who they would vote for. Obviously I believe most of the interviewees were black. The responses were that they would vote for Obama because they agreed with his policies. Unfortunately when the interviews were done, the Harlem residents were told McCain's policies were actually Obama's, and even asked them how they felt about Palin being chosen as Obama's VP. The Harlem residents in this interview said Pailin was fine as Obama's running mate, and they agreed with whatever policies the interviewer suggested. These people who were interviewed showed just how ignorant and uneducated some of the voters are this year, and showed they were voting based on color more or less. In that case, they shouldn't even vote in my opinion. It is irresponsible to be voting when you have no clue.
