@mikeg: The defendants are NOT paying for their defense. It is the U.S. govt, i.e., taxpayers, who are paying for BOTH prosecution (Dept of Justice) AND defense (4 attorneys in Las Vegas). We should all ask why American taxpayers must pay for our government doing the dirty work for China. These defendants should simply be extradicted out of the United States & back to China to stand trial there. Afterall, the alleged embezzlement of nearly half a billion US dollars' worth, was from the Bank of CHINA, not an American bank.
