What the hell is happening. The time for "Change" is not now. Obama is not the ticket, where are the long term thinking people. The blacks want a black president...Period. Others want a solution to the WORLD economic problems, the Bush haters, do not want McCain, but somehow, the people will elect Obama, give control to the DEMs in both houses and the White House??? You have got to be kidding. This is going to hurt but you better get it together because if O is elected, you will be on your knees praying for the days of high gas prices.
Wake Up. There is not one of you who would give me you debit card and PIN number and that is what you will do. Checks and balances will get us through these times. Give O a few more years to mature. If he is elected, Mid east goes to hell, taxes up, gas--- you are on a bike, lastly, I know my enemy, and I keep him close, the unknown scares the crap out of me.

I apparently miss the connection of the comments here that seemingly correlate more taxes or voting for Gibbons as being directly or contributing to the health issue of discussion. A convoluted argument is presented. The issues are criminal acts by a "licensed" enterprise. Throwing more money or puppets at this would not have changed a thing. Period.

With all the recent activity of the medical calamity, the states inability to show due diligence in the matter. This comes at the wrong time.

As this story, or more exactly reality plays out, all of the players have self evoked degrees of "CYA".
Those of us who are the "sheepeople" are supposed to accept these lame, protectionist positions the NBME board has. Three blind mice!! Recuse!! Pardon me for saying but these statements alone make you accountable for the horror of this event.

I don't speak for many, but I think most people would agree that your chosen and well awarded position requires you to be pro-active in reducing and eliminating real and potential risks with out regard to checking with entry level state appointed lawyers to see if a " threshold " has been met.

If you and the board can't make a decision, morally correct and right without seeking legal advice, what the hell are you there for.

I am disturbed that the creative minds in Hollywood who went on strike couldn't come up with this type of story line.

Interesting comments. I printed them out and put them in my blender. What came out was:
a. Like Nixon, someone voted for him.
b. He did find his way out of the garage.
c. Drug users have better hygiene.
d. Sharing a bottle, beer drinkers dislike backwash
e. What is a " Jack Mormon "
f. You can't lead if your head is so far up, you can't get it removed because of the risk of - you get the picture.

Note: My son asked if we could use the blender again and I advised him that it needs to be sent to Yucca Mountain. His eyes turned to saucers! I said it's alright, one way or the other, you and your brothers will get it shoved up your, or down your, either way, you may not be able to take you pick.

There is a TV commercial where the doctor says something to the effect of " cut below the 3rd rib", and the guy says " shouldn't you be doing this"! Ironic, this ad has been running before all this. I had a procedure done at UMC and called my doctor to ask one question, who was the anesthesiologist who administered my sedation. The answer was no need to worry it was a "DR" and not a nurse. I asked what his name was and it was Dr. Scott Young. Relieved I went about my business until I read the news. Now I too am on the damn list of these bastards. I applaud no one. The city, county, state and fed have acted to slowly in this and all the pundits giving excuses and reasons will not diminish the reality of it all. A comment to Richard Wright: Is there any high profile case you WON'T take on moral or principle grounds?

It is ludicrous for the government to adjust, modify or otherwise create legislation that would forgive, adjust or otherwise bail out lenders and borrowers from the current housing crisis. We’ve been there and done that with the S and L debacle. We need to do it again?

For us idiots who pay our bills, don’t live or borrow above our ability to pay, we will be asked, ( forced ) to use our contributions, ( see taxes ) to widen the welfare state to both the predator lenders and willing borrowers by creating programs of forgiveness??

I will be damned if I have to pay to keep people in homes that are above their means, bail out BMW driving lenders who knowingly created this “crisis” while I and others have to clip coupons to meet our basic needs while they live the highlife.
