so let's assume this guy gets what he wants and moves the coyotes to Las Vegas. What happens in the future when he does the exact same thing to Las Vegas and holds this community hostage by threatening to move his team unless taxpayers kick down and provide him with a new arena? Shouldn't these obscenely rich team owners take care of their own stadium/arena needs without forcing taxpayers to subsidize their privileged existence? Until some team owner is willing to enact a profit sharing plan with the people of southern Nevada, I feel that it's perfectly fine not to have a major league sports team in Vegas.
Renoite, don't you understand what neiman1 is trying to say?
I think we're clearly indebted to Neiman1 for stating what needed to be said.
Not only was that authentic frontier gibberish, it expresses a courage little seen this day in age.
WHAT ARE WE MADE OF!!!! When our forefathers came across the prairies...fought locusts, fought Indians fought DIX!! You remember Richard Dix?
I'd just like to state that my post makes more sense, and is funnier (only by a little though) than Nieman1's.
Shihan, would you please press spell check before you post you ignorant ass.
You're right KDR81, best we do nothing.
It's funny, several years ago Las Vegas went to the other Colorado River Basin States and requested additional water from the Colorado River. These states promptly dismissed Las Vegas' request, stating that the city needed to explore all in-state options first. Ironically, once Las Vegas did what the other states requested, Utah, which was one of the states so dismissive of Nevada's need, is now deciding to be obstructionist. Meanwhile, Utah smuggly rests on its 1.7 Million Acre Foot Colorado River Allotment, and has the audacity to tell Las Vegas that it can't petition the state engineer for more in-state water. What's more, Utah only has 50,000 more residents than Nevada, and a far lower GDP compared to Nevada, which generates this GDP with 8 times less Colorado River Water!! Unbelievable. Perhaps its time for Utah to stop being so schizophrenic about their policy and allow Nevada to develop its own water.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA....let the free market sort it out....that's good.
Again, more brilliance from the libertarian sector. Great Depression? Current Housing Crisis? Enron? just a few finer examples of how well the market sorts itself out.
Seriously.....brilliant comment KDR81. how bout we get some education.
Oh my God, where does this anti-tax sentiment end? This movement to limit property tax is truly depressing in light of the drastic cuts to state government now occurring, cuts that are decimating our educational system. Kudos to all the republicans proposing these tax cuts. Too bad the voters of this state can't see through their jingoistic calls to "shrink government" and "give the people what's theirs." My God man, we have the lowest tax rates overall in the nation. The genius republicans can't see the connection between that and the low educational performances? It's as if they don't actually want to do anything for society at large, they just want to pad the pockets of the upper classes who find it inconvenient to rub elbows with anyone unrefined enough to actually benefit from public funds. This state's leaders either haven't the courage to stand up against this ridiculous "all taxes bad....BAD" mentality, or worse, they just don't care about society at large. No wonder people talk so much trash about this state.

Sgt. Rock, I have to thank you for your persistent submissions to the LV Sun's wall. The frequency of your posts does a lot for Democrats in that it creates a picture, true or not, of how insane right wingers are. Thanks for the polarization! Please keep up the posts, for while your sophistry is absolutely asinine, it is also quite funny.
