Gary Loveman received over ninety million reasons when Harrah's was taken private...I wonder what Tom Jenkin & some of the others got? I think some money went out the back door in various forms. If anyone from the IRS is interested I have some information regarding some of the illegal activities that took place at Harrah's - I can be contacted at harrahswhistleblower@gmail.com.
I hear from my sources at Harrah's that customer service is almost non-existent at the hotel, which is primarily due to the fact that there have been so many cutbacks. Pretty soon if you are a guest at Harrah's properties you might be asked to bring your own toilet paper, plunger, light bulbs and tools to fix the problems that you will encounter during your stay - you might even have to check yourself in & out while you are at it. Employee morale is at an all-time low. Harrah's has cut out providing orange juice in the Employee Dining Room and is considering only providing hot meals for their employees for half the day. Next we will hear that the employees will be asked to either except IOU's for pay or just do volunteer work - got to keep upper management's big paychecks coming. Good thing that Tom Jenkin got his home furnishings when he did (before the buyout) through the Engineering Department...I guess he wasn't making enough money to cover his expenses. Tom Jenkin & Tom Adams must have been real good friends...you know the type you wash my back & I will wash yours - it became a profitable friendship for both of them. Those illegal remodels really paid off for the two of them & Harrah's.
I wonder how many employees & guests Harrah's exposed to asbestos during the course of their illegal remodels? I thought that there were state & federal laws that protected employees from such abuses. I encourage any & all current & former employees of Harrah's that participated in their illegal remodels to contact me at the above mentioned email address. I am also looking for any information regarding any of Harrah's illegal activities that you are aware of...and I do mean any.
I can't think of a more deserving company to fail than Harrah's under the fine leadership of Gary Loveman and the ownership of Texas Pacific Group & Apollo. When I contacted TPG & Apollo about Harrah's illegal remodels they didn't care, because money not people/employees is the only thing that is important to them. Rumor has it that Gary Loveman is positioning himself or maybe some of his Harvard friends to purchase Caesars Palace...I wish him/them luck...not!
Harrah's downfall can be attributed to their greed, their total lack of business ethics, total lack of concern for the health & welfare of their employees, illegal activities, and again their Corporate GREED. TPG & Apollo are perfect examples as to why the United States of America is in its' current financial nightmare.
Looks like all of the Casinos in Las Vegas seem to think that they are above the law, and public safety means nothing to any of them! Starting with the "Good Old Boy Network" of old Vegas, greasing palms has become the norm rather than the exception. We have according to Ron Lynn the toughest construction codes in the United States, but sadly we do not enforce them! I don't know about you, but I want people that have some balls to stand up to wrong doing and truly have the publics' safety as their top priority. Why do we need agencies such as OSHA, Contractor's Board, Gaming Commission, Real Estate Commission, Ombudsman Office, EPA, Health Department, Fire Department, Building Department, District Attorney's Office, Attorney General's Office etc...etc...etc if they are not going to do their jobs? We have been sold out on every level by people and agencies that are entrusted to protect us.
Harrah's remodels 1,000 of their hotel rooms illegally, leaving every room that they touched unsafe for the public to stay in (this is documented by both the Clark County Building & Fire Departments). My sources tell me that Harrah's will hit the two year mark in fixing their many self caused screw-ups. Yet, the DA's Office under the direction of David Roger has refused to further investigate Harrah's illegal activities, which at the very least show "willful" GROSS NEGLIGIENCE on the part of Harrah's regarding the safety of not only their Guests, but their employees as well. Harrah's started their illegal remodels back in the early to mid 1990's. Harrah's has provided real "fire traps" for their Guests to stay in for many years. Keep in mind the fact that their redundant fire safety systems were all compromised because of their illegal remodels.
The Nevada Gaming Commission fined the owner of Imperial Palace 2.5 million dollars for his "Hitler" themed party, which according to them damaged Las Vegas's image. Harrah's tried to have a "Guest Fry", and would have if there had been a fire...I don't believe that the no harm, no foul rule applies in this instance...or does it because people have been paid off to make this go away? Harrah's created a situation that could have had catastrophic consequences if there had been a fire. What's worse: the party theme or death trap rooms for Vegas guests to stay in? Harrah's needs to be held accountable for what they did - hotel guests should not have to cross their fingers in the hope that their hotel room are safe.
Anyone that has concerns regarding Nevada State OSHA's handling of any of these cases is strongly encouraged to contact me at:

I am Fred Frazzetta the Harrah's Whistleblower.
Nevada State OSHA has repeatedly failed to uphold the Statutes that are in place to protect us. Together we can file a formal complaint with Federal OSHA, which by law they will have to investigate. I have documentation pertaining to other investigations done by State OSHA that clearly show favoritism for one reason or another to big business. I believe that Public Corruption has taken place...it is the only reasonable explanation as to why behind closed doors things have gone away or changed drastically. Enough is enough and we need to make those responsible for these grievous acts accountable for their actions.
I am truly sorry to those families that have lost loved ones because of the mentality in this town of getting the job done at all costs. One life lost is too many...just ask someone who has lost a loved one. I thought Unions were supposed to stand up for their members, and that as brothers & sisters we are supposed to protect one another. It is time to take a stand...I am willing to...are you?
Cowboy Collins:
You don't get it do you? I haven't heard your public apology for your comment when you & your fellow commissioners voted on hiring Kessler - the one that you were certain that everything was done correctly by all departments concerned. I guess you were a little off weren't you Mr. Collins; actually a lot off! If you want respect from us common folk you need to earn it...a little hint you will earn it by doing your job to the very best of your abilities and part of that job is protecting the public not your interests.
Remember you are a public official...unlike Charles Barkley you should be a role model for the rest of us. Your behavior as a Clark County Commissioner in the above stated matter is unacceptable, you have no excuse for what you did. You should apologize publicly for your inexcusable behavior regarding both instances. Be a man and do the responsible thing...do what is right.

Under the fine leadership of Gary Loveman, Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. not only illegally remodeled thousands of their hotel rooms, but they also left those same rooms unsafe for the public to stay in. So the largest Gaming Company in the world decided to willfully put both their valued Guests & employees at risk for the sake of their precious bottom line. Instead of fish fry Friday's, Harrah's tried to fry their Guests by providing them rooms that were, now documented, "public fire safety traps," for years & years. After the MGM Grand Fire hotels had to install redundant fire safety systems: fire alarms, sprinklers, and smoke control construction (i.e. fire caulk, fire rated walls, flame retardant materials in rooms etc.) a great concept on paper, but for some reason not something embraced by Harrah's as important. I say this because Harrah's redundant fire safety systems were all compromised as a direct result of their illegal remodels.
Unfortunately, the story does not end here because during the course of Harrah's numerous illegal remodel projects they managed to expose their employees & Guests to asbestos, and in the process broke both state & federal laws. These were willful acts, and in my mind criminal in every sense of the word. They knew that asbestos was a present danger, yet Harrah's did nothing to protect either their employees or guests. Then there was the mold...nice black mold at the Rio, at the Flamingo, and at Harrah's - if anyone is interested I will be glad to tell you how they handled it.
For some reason Harrah's believes that it is above the law...maybe it is because they have friends in high places or should I say the right places. OSHA did nothing to protect the workers - except for a slap on the wrist. The Gaming Control Board uttered a short statement about 14 months ago, stating that if Harrah's actions were deemed to be willful acts that they might take action against them...Harrah's decided to circumvent the permit process, and did not adhere in any way shape of form to accepted construction standards - none of the rooms met code, Harrah's lied to the County repeatedly about the remodels when first approached - pretty much denied everything until the walls were actually opened up and told the story...no one forced Harrah's by gunpoint to do what they did, which in my mind makes what they did a WILLFUL ACT! The non-transparent State Contractors Board has done zero, zippo against any of the Contractors that were involved in the illegal remodel projects...including Harrah's which did not have a license in-house to act as the General Contractor on the remodel projects. Three agencies entrusted with protecting the public from harm, and not one of them has done jack...but that isn't a surprise in Las Vegas or for that matter Nevada.
