You have really hit the nail on the head with this Jon.
What politician in their right mind would run for office thinking that their private life will stay private?
And at the same time, isn't it just a little hard to swallow that suddenly the "Family Values" republicans who have been preaching abstinence only for how many years are now pushing the hush, hush routine. It isn't proper to speak the truth?????????
This is a load of hogwash and we all know it, and it is unbelievable to me that they think we will forget all the talk about Obama having no experience just a few weeks ago, while they expect us to embrace Palin as a VP?????
I sure hope the American people aren't that stupid.
The prison population isn't just made up of murderers, rapistst and theives.
85% of the prison population is made up of non-violent offenders, like DUI's, drug offenses and the mentally ill.
If you are going to post and use a name like GOD, at least have the intelligence to do some research first. You are exactly the kind of person who got us into this mess to begin with.
The world is full of ignorant sheep who have opinions on everything but know nothing about what they speak or write about.
It is time for Nevada to take a good long look at how they spend our tax dollars.
It's time to get smart on crime instead of tough on crime.
“I want to share with the American people that Republicans understand the importance of freedom in these coming elections and in our future as a nation,” Ensign said in a statement about his speech. “It is an easy formula — when we side with freedom, we thrive.”
Republicans understand the importance of freedom????????????????
As they stood by and watched Bush trample on the Constitution??????????????
How can anyone believe what this man is saying?????????

"The police do not need more money right now with a population that is seeing flat growth and decreasing crime."
This is so true. Funny thing though, even though crime is going down and population isn't rising at the same rate as before, we are still filling up the jails and prisons.
Could it be that the police are justifying their existance at the expense of the taxpayers (who I am sure are all criminals in their eyes anyway).
