This is my first experience with your column and I want to thank you for the balanced approach. There is a lot of emotion tied to this topic right now; defensiveness from the Repubs and surprise and frankly dismay from the Dems. Obama is playing it smart and letting the issue run its course. It is not wise to jump in with any criticism as the decision by McCain speaks for itself.
