Gee thought money was tight. Talk about laying off police and fire yet they seem to have money in the cofers for this project. Why not have sound fiscal money management, more property taxes are due to be reduced in July 2012 unless Henderson thinks a tax increase for a park at this time is better spent. By the way Kasidie Henderson is not Vegas. Vegas itself is very small.
I think everyone is missing the point of the article. First who is this auto safety group. It is funded by Insurance companies. Now you ask me why would an insurance company give advice. More profits. Why. When you get into a crash in Nevada the officer, trooper will ask you if you had your seat belt on. If you are unable to talk they will look for bruising on your chest for the belt pulling back or have to cut the belt off then they have there answer. If you answer no or the officer checks the box on Nevada Form 5 NO then insurance companies does not have to pay since this state does not have no fault anymore forcing insurance to pay no matter what (seatbelts is not mandatory yet, when it is mandatory look out, they can refuse to pay your health bill). Second the selt belt is not a real seat belt it is a passive restraint. It only works when crash involves the front or rear crash. Sometimes it will work in a rollover but mostly no. If you will notice the media they will only say you did not have your seat belt on when you crash and get injuried or die. They never say he or she was wearing there seat belt when you die. Companies are only about the bottom line profit. Make sure you express your mind on this issue to Nevda state Assembly and Senate. Otherwise they will make it mandatory. Then hope you do not get in a crash without using the belt. You loose insurance WINS BIG TIME.
The individual that stated that they were use to 125.00 fee. That is Utah. Yep that is the max fee. "O" I forgot they pay between 3 to 7 percent tax income tax, including paying sales tax on anything that walks, crawls, the food you buy in grocery stores. I gladley will pay my 260.00 fee, last time I checked in my 42 years here I have never paid a state income tax.
martel3 yes it is true to have proactive patrol. But my problem is that taking a metro officer out of service for catII officer like the school police that just burn gas trying to look like a CatI officer preventing crime, they need to do there job instead of tasking a unit in metro to do there job function for them. Maybe they need to change there patrol vehicle color again (tryed looking like metro now trying to look like state trooper) maybe white might work better as a truant officer.

Why doesn't this state go back to our old system. Primary system. Worked for my 42 years year until politics got involved in the system. Then Adelson, could have voted early so he would not have to disobey his god. Problem corrected and no cheating.
