I think anyone who enjoys art agrees that there needs to be a true public art gallery in the Valley. However, it is sad to continuosly see the comment that we need an art gallery that is not attached to a library. If not for the vision of Charles Hunsberger, former long time Library Director, there would be little public art or public theater. He always felt that the libraries would be a temporary home until the community as a whole came forward to support the arts. I think a more appropriate comment would be, "We would like to thank Charles Hunsberger and the Library District for their vision and continued support and we are now ready to follow up on that vision and build a true center for the visual arts."
