Adelson just became the new poster boy for the 28th Amendment.
Gogo,
Yes, it would be the same. But the subject of the letter was Grover Norquist.
Carolyn,
I agree with you, but there is no need to investigate what kind of quid pro quo they might have received for taking Grover Norquist's anti-constitutional pledge. Everyone already knows that the quid pro quo is money - lots of it. Everyone who signed Grover's pledge signed because they are scared to death of being cut off from Grover's vast amount of PAC money for their re-election. Pure and simple, it is the fear of not getting re-elected that makes them take the pledge. The only way we will be able to break Grover's hold on OUR congressmen is to not re-elect ANY congressman that has signed Grover's pledge. We must take the pledge to break the pledge.
Notacon, you got it! For the rest of you, except for Purgatory, lighten up. I was just trying to show you how stupid the Republicans "jobs" argument sounds.

Amazing. Nevada wants to be relevant in national politics by being one of the first states in the nation to hold their presidential nominating contests, yet the state says it cannot afford to pay for a primary and the Republicans say they cannot afford to pay for a well run caucus. How embarrassing can it get? Maybe Nevada should move to the back of the line where we belong.
