Yeh, blame OSHA. Sure, the workers aren't dropping like flies anymore, but we all know that's because the contractors are keeping a keen eye out for their workers getting wasted at the nearby bars. Must be a pain to have to get up earlier to fill your thermos with vodka, but at least you can sip and sip to get through the day.
CCSD is too large. Downsizing to NLV, LV, and Henderson would be a start. Smaller schools, better results. Nah, makes too much sense. CCSD will continue turning out tip-dependent dumbbells, because they have the clout in Carson City. Of course, with all the tip jobs disappearing, you have to wonder what will happen to the all the future failures. Remember, we got "Ruffles" after the typical "nationwide search", so we are getting what we deserve.
Too bad we didn't know this was happening in advance, because we could have sold tickets to this Demolition Derby. Cops driving the wrong way, slamming into a car twice. Wonder what the Spanish guys were doing wrong at one in the afternoon? Seatbelt?
Hmm, so I'm driving down the street, and a vagrant is walking in the travel lanes. I hit him, and blow an .08, so I go to jail like forever. Question-if he was lying in the travel lane, drunk, do I go to jail forever? What if he ran out into the travel lane, and I never saw him?
If he jumped off an overpass, and hit my car while I was an .08, do I go to the slammer? What if I was an off-duty cop? Aha, things suddenly change.

It will be exciting to see state workers energized to keep their pay and benefits during the legislative session to follow, especially since energized is not a word usually associated with state employees. But let's face it-the city workers-especially in Henderson-are the problem. 300 cops, God knows how many fire employees-in a docile, low rise community. Overpaid, underworked, and cocky as hell, due to their unions. It's time the homeowners step up, and demand changes. Our local taxes are rising exponentially, and something must be done. Now....
