Agreed, officiating was at it's best Tuesday night and both teams were on their best behavior as neither one wanted to make a mistake that could cost them the game. Somehow I don't think the same will hold true for the Alaska series. There is so much fierce competition between these two rival teams that if the ref doesn't take control of the game, it will get out of hand in a hurry. Here's to hoping the Wranglers stay on track with their own brand of "Finesse Hockey" and don't let the Aces bring them to the Dark Side.

Unbelievable Ron! The Wranglers season ticket holders are true fans. I haven’t missed a single home game this year and only hope that the final game will be won at the Orleans Arena so I can be there for it. Most newcomers to this city don’t even know we have a hockey team because the media does such a poor job at covering it. We’ve had a great team, right out of the gate and are still treated like the “red-headed step-child” to Rebels basketball, even when they sucked.

Maybe if one of the sportswriters took an interest in the team and the rules of the game so they could write an accurate column, then more people would know that we have a team and a good one!

Now as to gap-toothed, beer guzzling fans, have you taken a look in the stands? You just have no clue! Couldn’t you do something better than alienate the fan based they’ve worked so hard to build up. And it sounds to me like you took something Billy may have said out of context. I can’t imagine that, as the president of the organization, he’d think making it to the playoffs is a nuisance; perhaps the “games” that he has to play with the other management to arrange the schedules, but having a good team who advances to the playoffs only makes it easier to sell tickets and promote group outings. So this isn’t the NHL or the Stanley Cup, but the Wranglers organization has done a great job of giving us a quality product on which to spend our entertainment dollars. Can’t say I fell the same about spending 50 cents on the RJ/Sun.

Seems to me you just shined a spotlight on your ignorance of the game and everything about it. You are definitely no the kind of quasi-fan that would be welcomed in Saskatoon or anywhere else for that matter. We’d rather have Todd. He may not have learned all the finesse of the game yet, but he’s managed not to insult the fans, either.
