This President and this Congress in large part caused the economic collapse. Bush and his appointees are in the process of socializing the financial and automotive sectors, and potentially homes. If we do have a socialist President, he should have a very smooth transition. Obama says he has a "righteous wind at his back." True and I hope good wins over evil in this election.
What shameless lies McCain and Palin are guilty of. It was this President and this Congress that caused, in large part, the financial meltdown and the bailout and the road toward socialism. Obama does not want to reinstate massive welfare programs. He just wants the rich to pay a little more taxes to lighten the burdens of the working, middle class.
Differences in the McCain and Obama families:
1. McCain graduated 894th in an 899 member class at the Naval Academy.
Obama graduated with high honors in his Harvard Law class.
2. McCain married Cindy about one month after he broke up his first family.
Obama, married once, close family.
3. Cindy McCain, daughter of a rich beer distributor, has confessed an
addiction to drugs and to stealing drugs.
4. Michelle Obama, Barack's wife, from a poor family, has degrees from
Princeton and Harvard Law School.
McCain looked shaky and old, trying to control his temper. He and Palin really scare me. A psychiatric exploration of Palin, I think, would uncover multiple pathologies.
We will never have victory in Iraq. We lost when Shock and Awe tragically began, when our invasion and occupation of the unfortunate Iraqi people bankrupted us and ruined our reputation. If McCain wins, the world will not soon forget.
John McCain racked up more than 300 demerits at the Naval Academy and graduated 5th from the bottom of his 899 member class. Widely known for serial adulteries, McCain married Cindy Hensley one month after he divorced his first family. Cindy's father, Jim Hensley, a wealthy beer distributor, was convicted of falsifying records to illegally distribute liquor.
Cindy confessed to drug addiction and to stealing drugs.
Sarah Palin paraded her 17 year old, pregnant, unmarried daughter, Bristol, on the stage at the RNC. (In fact, Sarah Palin's first child, Track, was born when she had been married about seven months). There are abuse of office charges against Palin. She and McCain have lied in their speeches and McCain has flip flopped on many issues. All of this while she professed to be a Christian.
This pair and their families in the White House would provide much fodder for the tabloids . Such terrible examples for our young people.
So why do so many conservative preachers and church goers support these two? This President and this Congress have not conserved our tax money, our international reputation nor the environment.
George Herbert Walker IV, a second cousin of the President, is a managing director at Lehman Brothers. Jeb Bush is an "advisor" in Lehman's private equity group. William T. Bush, the President's uncle, was on the board at Engineered Support Systems, a defense contractor which made hundreds of millions of dollars from the Iraq, Afghanastan wars. The Carlyle Group with which the Bush family was connected, did defense contracting. Shouldn't the MSM report extensively on this?
The evangelical right is blood thirsty. They never see a war that they don't like. They will vote for McCain who is an admitted serial adulterer. I haven't heard them condemn the pregnancy of unmarried, 17 year old Bristol Palin.
How they distort the Christian message! Jesus was a peace maker and cautioned repeatedly about the sins of fornication and adultery.
And the "faith"based initiative--giving our taxes to preachers--isn't that unconstitutional?

I'm not working in a political campaign. I am a conservative Christian, but I will vote for Obama. He has run a brilliant campaign which I hope is indicative of the way he'd manage our nation. McCain's campaign has been sloppy, erratic, with a murky version of Bush economics. Since he seems to know little except war, all McCain can do is savagely attack and libel Obama.
Also, McCain has an extremely immoral personal past. Cindy, his wife, confessed to drug addiction and theft of drugs. There's Palins's pregnant, teenage, unmarried daughter,Bristol. If McCain wins, can you imagine the tabloid headlines? Constant jokes about Sarah Palin's lack of knowledge. Questions about McCain's adulteries. Will Cindy be back on drugs? Will the 18 year old shotgun groom stay with Bristol? What a terrible example for young people.
