This Jim Murren is a con artist. He is nothing more than these guys playing 3 card monte! Would he and other executives like to bet their jobs and salaries and comps on the on coming improvement? We need to reward execs on PERFORMANCE not BS! He can go in to government if he wants it both ways. The recession/depression is not ending till at least 2o12 which happens to be a Presidential election.
Lc That's the American way to minimize your taxes. I don't see u criticizing Bloomberg for spending 100m for a Mayor of New York or sleaze Chuck Schumer being so tight with the banking industry or of course the sleaziest of them all Harry Reid who bought land in Las Vegas at bargain prices with his connections. And didn't your friend (Reid) say the war is over and we should get out of Iraq/Afghanistan .
I don't know why Boyds is so interested in purchasing Stations. With their problems and Echelon never being built I would think that they would try and improve their current Casinos. I believe their goal is to take the best properties of Stations (RED ROCK, GREEN VALLEY,ALIANTE) for pennies on the dollar and sell some of their lesser properties ( Coast, Main Street )
No way is Las Vegas recovering in 2010. With the over supply of rooms and the recession/depression still with us ( don't care what guys like Geitner and co tell us) we are not coming back till 2012 which just happens to be the Presidential election .
to adviceischeap. i would stay downtown at Golden Nugget. They have a new tower and u can get good rates Sun -Thurs. As for restaurants Golden Nugget has a good steak one Vic and Anthony. They also have an Italian restaurant Grotto. If u are looking for a more elegant but a bit pricey Hugo's Cellar steakhouse is at the 4 Queens and has been around for quite awhile. Hope that helps. As for playing Video Poker just play the full pay machines at the casinos.
This report doesn't document ILLEGAL ALIENS who make up 10% of our nations population and 20% of Clark County.
As I have said before the co (Stations) is just stalling. Have them sell some of their properties and use the money to pay off some the bondholders. The only people making money are the attorneys (crooks)We customers can accelerate the sales by not giving them our business.
I still say Southtpoint has the tightest slots. If u want objective advice read Jean Scott in the Advisor.
I don't like to be a naysayer but Garth performing 4-6 times a month is not going to end this DEPRESSION.We need jobs, not these $8-15 hr ones, but higher paying jobs ( Nurses,Doctors, construction, computer personnel, accountants etc

With all the construction persons unemployed u would think that they accelerate some government projects. One that comes to mine is the new Veterans Hospital at 215. They have the money and land but it still will not get completed at the earliest till 2012. Before it can be opened they have to pass inspections and get approval for more money. This will take another year. Who says it doesn't pay to work for the government!!
