If people were paying to attend, this was an unlicensed business and should be held to the same standards that every restaurant everywhere are held to. Let's face it, if they are trying to make a buck off the public they should have to comply.

I'll stay @ Cosmo for the balconies. The disturbed can jump off anything tall, jump from a cruise ship or in front of 18 wheeler. Why ruin this for everyone? Besides when you factor the large number of visitors at Cosmo, two jumpers actually can be considered isolated.
While the foreclosed homes may be private property, cleaning them up benefits the entire community. While it is good for bankers its better for the neighbors. It has proven out in urban settings that unkempt properties encourage crime and the breakdown of social values. Maintenance like this will lessen further property value erosion in the neighborhood while discouraging vandalism etc. Punishing young offenders while teaching lessons about community preservation, the value and satisfaction of hard work. What could be better?

It should be required that all outdoor signage and all advertising prominently state that smoking is allowed, then let the customer (marketplace) decide. If non-smokers that care are in the majority non-smoking bars will flourish while those that allow smoking fail. Let the marketplace decide.
Competition is good. In many industries powerful interests have lobbied to enact laws which discourage competition. Usually the rationale is that these laws "protect consumers". In reality they protect market share and profit margins for business while increasing cost and limiting consumer choice. Regulators should let Dottys be.

1st cop - very unprofessional should be fired.
Cop that did the kicking needs a prison term for kicking a man on ground (even if he was roaring drunk, you don't do this)
Patrolmen should be reprimanded for not immediately reporting crime of assault by Henderson officer.

But he needs to be more careful about managing blood sugar if he is going to drive - because he was just as dangerous as drunk driver. There are warning signs to falling blood sugar, he should have recognized these and pulled over before getting to this state.
