ghost - if your refering to me, thanks. At least you read the other side, which is more than can be said for other libs in these posts. The difference is, that I want to be labeled a "conservative", not a republican, there is a difference and make sure, all repubs are not conservative.

I waiting for the Obama health care fiasco to be Bush's fault, everything else is. When this country declares bankrupcy due to the health care bill, it will be an"inheired problem" that Obama was going to mop up, but someone got in his way ( Cheney the evil doer??) I wish Obama would do one thing, anything, without screwing it up.

We can hire all these folks to work on Obamacare!!!! They can interpet the 2000+ pages of double talk and then they can be administrators - one person to every doctors office in the country to apply the new rules. In fact, give each of them a check book and after you see the doctor, the admin can determine whether the doctor gets paid or if your service was not a covered procedure, so the the doctor does not get paid. Hospitals would probably need 15 to 20 admins working for the gov't. So, our tax money can support these folks while they administer the socialized health care fiasco. Makes sense to me.

Birdie - we agree on this, we need campaign finance reform and I'll even vote for term limits. We need to elect new representatives and senators who understand the needs and the wants of the electorate - not the lobbyists. Until there is a change in the mind set of our representatives, it will be business as usual.

Pass the Bill, make Birdie happy, and lets see what he has to say when the country goes belly up. I know, we can all go on gov't provided housing and food - that is what Birdie and the rest of the dems want. They want you totally dependent on their handouts. Work - give all money to the gov't and they will decide what you need and what you get. If nothing else, the elections of 2008 have shown the true colors of the dems - tax and spend twice of what you get, let the grandkids pay for it - nice policy - way to go dems.

dt0702 - what has Obama done in 10 months?? Simulus - a failure. Created jobs? No. Bigger gov't - Yes. Traveled the world - yes. Bad mouthed the country over seas - Yes. Mid east peace - No. Parties at the White House - Yes. Afgan policy - No, its coming Tuesday and it will be double talk without substance. So, please tell me - what has he done????

gunowner - I have and I missed the good ol U.S.A. I like my space, not the 700 square foot apartment that families have to live in because its all they can afford due to the taxes they pay. Why do the rich folks in those countries come to the United States for urgent health care issues that need immediate treatment? Is it because there is no treatment in the gov't run health care, or the wait is too long ? I agree our school system needs improvement and we need to deal with the truly impoverished, not the slackers who are looking for a hand out because they are too lazy to work. As for cleaner, I don't know what country you lived in, but the cities I saw in Japan and Europe were filthy. Take a look at the un-employment in those countries, its normally worse than in this country - recessation aside - and from the people I know in those countries, its due to the high taxes that businesses will not hire additional people. The cost of living is another factor - take a look at the prices those folks pay. Why do you think they load their suitcases with goods from the U.S. when they visit this country? Like I said, look at the whole picture, not just what you want to see.

And while your at it, take a look at the tax rates in Canada, England, Germany and France. Boy, I want to live like the Cubans, there is a gov't to follow, poverty everywhere, but their healthy. You cannot just look at one aspect of life in another country, like health care, you need to view the whole picture. Thats the problem with some of you dems, take off your blinders and look at the total picture, not just what you want to see.

My selective memory is that this administration cannot make a decision to sh$%^%^ or go blind. This administration passed a stimulus that only stimulated those that wrote it and passed it and signed it. Lets ask the same question today, are you better off now that Obama is in office? I know, its Bush's fault. When does Obama take responsibility ? Next week, next month, next year or never??? I've never seen a president so in-decisive and so quick to pass the blame. I guess if you don't do anything, you can't be blamed ( just vote present - then they can't pin it on you ).
