If the property tax caps were not in place, the governments would have created even bigger and more wasteful programs, to spend every penny of the increased property taxes.
Had that been the case, they would now be looking for EVEN MORE MONEY to get by the crunch.
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO.
Government spends, with more money available, government spends even more. The tax caps are the only way, we the people, have to keep them under control.
Let us not forget that Florida, like Nevada, does NOT have a state income tax.
Why not utilize the technology that CSN already has and webcast classes to the outlying communities? The students in the distant communities can attend classes and interact with the instructors online. The students can come to town for required examinations, or take them at an approved testing center where they live.
If they want to create a toll road, they should be required to build their own lane. The current HOV lane was paid for using our tax and federal dollars. No private corp should be allowed to take possession of the roadway for their own profit.
This must be stopped, and stopped N O W !!!!

The board is full of it. You need to prove competency and be licensed to do hair or nails. YET you need no training or certification to administer ionizing radiation to patients! The Nevada Radiation Control Board and the medical board are in the back pockets of physicians who continue to endanger patients with their office clerks taking their xrays. There is an accrediting agency (ARRT) that issues credentials ONLY to those who have completed an approved 2 year course of study, and 2000 hours of clinical experience, AND then sit for the national board examination.
Please note that major medical facilities and imaging centers only hire ARRT registered personnel. Before you agree to let someone take your xrays, ask if the person doing it is registered. If not, go elsewhere.
Jon Ralston, you should investigate that issue.
