Hey wannabe1indc,
What gives you the right to tell people what to write about? I don't think the whole world knows about all the problems in Las Vegas.I happen to know because I get my info on line. The last time I checked this was a free country and I'll write or say what ever I want!
I lived in Vegas from 1999 to 2003.I have to say I loved the whole experience. Something has changed. I can't put my finger on it because I am back in New Jersey looking from a far.
I don't know where to start.1st of all, I loved those themed park hotels. Now every thing is glass with little or no style. The service except for a few has fallin off the map, u know what I'm trying to say it's just different. I want my old 1990's Las Vegas back. I mean just take a look at what they did to the Hard Rock Hotel. I thought it was so Miami the 1st time I went their and now they managed to turn it into a glass office building. Enough said, catch my drift? For those of u who stil live there just hold on for a miracle.
First, I would like to take the time to say how sorry I am for all the families involved.
Unfortunately prescription drugs are a problem with all types of people. I know people who would break a bone and 6 months later you have a full blown addict own your hands. If the amounts of drugs the Sun says the Dr.was prescribing in a 9 month period is accurate then you could say depending on the level of age , tolerance, and pain he may have been very liberal with his RX pad.
What I don't understand is why the pharmacy did not say anything to the patients. I live in NJ and suffer from chronic pain. I see my Dr.once per month. I know from experience if you show up 2 days early with a narcotic script and its over a 1 month supply ,they will not fill it. All I want is for every body to understand a lot of people have build up a tolerance to these types of drugs. What most likely happens next is Dr. shopping. All I am Saying you can't blame the Dr. for everything I'll bet most of his and other Drs. alike have patients asking for certain drugs, that is why the drugs are addictive , because the can take a school teacher and with just oxycodone and morphine alone for a period of a month and have her on the streets begging some drug dealer for a pill or a shot of heroin. It does not sound nice but it is very true. The problem is for every drug addict that takes more than they should and may O.D., their are millions of people who take their meds. as prescribed.
Please don't out law prescribed pain killers just get rid of the few bad Drs. who are selling them to the community for a few $$$. As a chronic pain sufferer I don't know what I would do if they were no longer available.
I just read a comment and they were making fun of fox news. I am a life long liberal and to tell you the truth that is the only news station I will watch. I guess if you are a homer and want to hear the Dem. spin well you have 6 or so tv stations to choose from and hundreds of news papers, but if you want to here an unbiased version of the news ,the way it used to be 30 years ago give fox a chance.
I have grown up in a Dem. home Bill Clinton was the 1st president I voted for. I voted for him twice and then voted for Gore. What a joke that whole thing became but, you all know as much. The following election I just voted Dems. just because I was still bitter about Gore losing in Fla.
I will go on record and say that I don't think that Bush did a bad job in his 1st term. I mean around here or anywhere for that matter after 9/11 happened everybody wanted someones head on a platter. I still remember Bush standing in the rubble of the world trade center with his bull horn telling us that he is going to smoke them all out of their holes and we all cheered.
I know going to Iraq was not the right move but the Dems. all agreed with Bush, except 1 community adviser at the time.I can't just blame every thing that happens on the republicans nor can I with the Dems. I am still A Clinton fan and was hurt to see her lose. I only hope is that our new president elect will continue to surround himself with great people both Dems. And repubicans and we get out of this mess together.
I just have one more thing to add , would Keith Oberman go back to sports center where he belongs.
I live in New Jersey and reg. gas is only $1.65 per gallon. I just hope it does not go up to $ 4.00 per gallon this summer again.
I am visiting Vegas in Jan. it has been 5 years + since I moved back to New Jersey, I am hoping to visit some of the new resorts while i'm in town. Is anything on the strip worth seeing or are they all half built empty buildings?
Someone please respond .

The bottom line is we live in a time when people want a pill to cure every thing. The problem is when the bottle reads 1 pill every 4 to 6 hours , junkies , yes junkies take 3 to 4 pills at a time period.
I would just like to say that as a parent your 1st instinct is to blame someone else. It very hard losing a child to drug addiction or worse death.
We can't forget that his patients were most likely asking for the pain meds and such. I being a chronic pain sufferer and addict would do almost anything to have a day without pain! We can not blame every dr. who give pain meds in moderation and by that I mean making sure your pain is gone! There were times I took more than prescribed and when I ended up in detox , guess who my mother blamed? The truth is there are responsiple people out there that need those meds and they should not be takin of the shelf because of a few bad apples. I guess what I am saying is, it is not alway the doctors fault.

Amazing! What else can I say. I would much rather see her brand of art work than a mess of old row boats and surf boards tied up at City Center.I can't believe MGM spent 100 million on that, now we all know why they are having money troubles. Instead they should search out talented artists like Sola and a bunch others instead of over paying for a bunch of crap, excuse my French. We all know Wynn would have never tied a bunch of boats together and call it art. He has real taste when it comes to art.
Unfortunately Las Vegas Is lacking In art, but if I want to see art I would go to New York city or Philadelphia. Las Vegas art comes from the beautiful buildings and signs plus the amazing landscape.
